An exotic anime/mecha rarity for a resonable price:

AeroplaneDriver

From the eBay Fairy, 1/48 Italeri F-19 Stealth Fighter.  This one will be designated for a little sci-fi kitbashing.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

PR19_Kit

I bought one of those Molotow Chrome Pens and it arrived today.

After a few pumps on the barrel to get the paint to flow down into the felt nib I tried it on some chrome bits of the 'Secret Prototype' car I'm doing, and I'm SERIOUSLY impressed!

It works very well and the finish is indistinguishable from the original plating.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Some parcels arrived for me today;

1/24 built Burago Jaguar XK120 (1948- in silver), previous owner has tried to whitewall the tyres. That will have to come off or a new set bought.

1/72 Heller AMD Mirage IVA.

1/72 Combat Conversions Boeing E-3D Sentry AEW- decals,  resin engines and pylons,  resin refuelling probe and housing,  aerials,  wingtips and ESM pods. Suitable for the Airfix E-3D or Heller E-3A/C AWACS.

1/72 Sutcliff vacform Avro York C1 conversion set,  badly damaged so it could get stretched or be turned into a bomber,  however I have the Combat Hobbies vacform conversion set which includes ; Avro Lancaster to Manchester.  HP Halifax III to Halifax I or II or the Halifax Transport,  Shorts Stirling to  Transport and Beaufighter to Hereford .
So I'm thinking Avro York with Avro Manchester wings and engines,  plus tail fins.

1/72 Magna Models  Fairey Gannet AEW. 3.

So -- is that turret an option in the new Lancaster kits ?

IIRC, there's a blanking plate but the Lancaster never had a four gun midd upper.  Halifax did, two kinds of Boulton Paul turret, one of which was the Defiant one.  But Lancaster, no.

I did a Defiant as a turret trainer with a Lancaster unit some years back.

Totally agree - gorgeous kit
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The Wooksta!

Found I'd ordered an extra decal sheet - something i'd put in my ebay basket and forgotten about, so when I did a BIN on some Vulcan decals, I get an extra Modeldecal sheet with a 15 Sqn Brick on it as well.

Which is nice.

When you get to the twin Beaufighter, you may need to remove more plastic than the instructions suggest.

Incidentally, how long was the wait from Alleycat?

It was ordered direct from them on the 24th July Lee. Carl (The Big Gimper) ordered them for me as he was getting a set too, so they came to Ontario first, then to me here in Alberta.
