Just taken delivery of these 3d printed British prototypes and paper projects, all 3d printed.

where did you find those?

The Wooksta!

Local guy called Alister Reid does his own 3d printed stuff and these were some of the earlier ones - he's moving up to a resin printer, so the results will be better.  He's working on other stuff - TsrJoe is printing some of it.

Wanted a clearout and offered them to me, knowing they'd have a good home.  Said he's looking forward to seeing how I rework them.  Think the Miles 52 will end up underneath a Lancaster 6 as that was the plan apparently.

Ebay says I've won another Vulcan

Is this No 8 or was it included in the original 7 ?  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The Wooksta!

7 is the number in build.  It has no relation to the number of Vulcans purchased.

Not sure what the 3d printed stuff is printed in, I just know it's not resin.  Some kind of plastic.

Right. That's interesting. The very first 3D  printer I saw in action was in the Children's section of the Science Museum in Kensington and that was printing in some kind of plastic by the look of it. Ages ago.

Eventually, yes.
Brilliant, I  will keep an eye  open  for those then, as there aren't nearly enough  models of what if and very nearly British aircraft.

Ordered another 1/144 Victor, a B.1 this time. I've got several B.2s in the stash, but I wanted to follow the drawings for the HP.111, which show wingtip tanks instead of the carrots halfway down the wing. I could have hacked about the B.2 wing, but this is easier.

Arrived today. I ordered it from an eBay seller in the Ukraine. Packaged in an envelope which contained the sprues etc. plus the original box folded flat - and it looks like the box has never been glued together. You'd almost think this kit was sourced directly from the factory.

I'll be looking forward to seeing that.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

I've got all the bits for said Lancaster, I think.  Might even have some part assembled wings.  Long term project, I think.

The Flagon does not seem to get much Whif love, but I have an idea.....

I've chopped-some of these (rather crude) PM Model Su-15s - they are good donor banks for conversions , e.g.:

Nice Dizzy, I recalled you had done a few.  Some of the less popular Soviet types are under-wfiffed.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
