Managed to snaffle another Il-28 last night. It will receive Buccaneer nacelles to make a baby-Badger. I don't know if it will be an Il-38 (with the 'May' pushed back) or a Tu-15 but it will be NATO/ASCC name 'Baffle'.

What's wrong with the Airfix one please ?

From what I can gather it, like the spinner, is a little "blunt" but, even having worked on one (in the mid-1980's) I can't really tell.

Still, all that's for my RW RAN Sea Fury, my Whif RAN Sea Fury is going to be OoB. ;)

The High Planes Martin  RB-57 D arrived this morning, at 20 to 8 I might add :o. It is by the looks of it one of their earlier  kits as the box art is a simple  black and white drawing  with  some writing on. The kit itself is exactly what you  guys warned me about, lots of thick flash and thick  sprue gates. The instructions are very basic  to say the least. Good job  it doesn't have lots of  fiddly bits.  I shall be  taking the  vernier calipers to its fuselage  later and to the Novo B1 mk.8 I have to see how much  difference  there  is in the widths, as I am  tempted to  transplant the B1 cockpit section on to the RB-57 fuselage. We shall see.

A Brengun "What-If" 1/72 Ba-349A Natter arrived today [complete with crushed box courtesy of Hermes] which might pop up in the GB. However a trip with SWMBO to a Barton-Le-Clay to check out a Christmas shop :-X lead to the discovery of a model shop I didn't know of with a good stock of paints - result  I can predict future trips to Barton whenever the Indian needs a run, especially as the roads are quite fun to ride ;D

DO tell where this model shop in Barton-le-Clay is please.

It's not that far from my 'country home', as the A6 goes anyway.

Looks to be The Model Box, located in ahem... Ye Olde Watermill Shopping Village

http://www.redcoatsoldier.co.uk/  Open on Sundays

Think I might make a trip in that direction one day soon. It's at one end of what was RAF Barton Landing Ground, used for training the Air Transport Auxiliary. https://www.abct.org.uk/airfields/airfield-finder/barton-in-the-clay/

Thanks Nick, that's not that far away from me at the moment.

I'll take a trip down there, or I will as soon as they've done re-laying the road at the end of the cul-de-sac I'm staying at the mo, and then we can all get out again..............  :banghead: :banghead:
