BTW, I also made an investment into the "Blue Lights" GB. This calls for a car of some sort - not my home turf, but I have an idea that works with personal affections. So I rather try early to get the necessary hardware together.  ;)

Thinking in advance for the Blue Lights GB.  I've got two builds in mind, one with the fire engine, the second mounting that wonderful wheeled escape ladder on something.  Anyone got any ideas???

A Stalwart?  ;D

If only there was a kit that I didn't have to sell a body part to afford!

Well I think they fitted one on a DUKW (well at least a turntable ladder ?) so how about fitting it onto a Buffalo (LVT)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks guys, that's very interesting.

I had an idea for DUKW, but quite different.  The 1/35 Italeri kit is surprisingly hard to get hold of though.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Gondor

Received from eBay two items today, one of which is not a model or model related

First item:
1 x 1/72 Hasegawa Mitsubishi T-2 to become what I originally said about the F-1 however as the rear canopy was not in the F-1 kit I had to get a T-2 for the butchery

Second item
1 x 7" Single by Genisis,: Spot The Pigeon dating from 1977. I never knew of this recordand every one I saw was going for silly money then this one popped up and finished late at night so I managed to get it for a good price

OMG, the stuff arrived from Poland in just three days - that was VERY quick!

And another vintage mecha collectible arrived from Japan, a "Ma-Drum", also from the Megaro Zamac kit series, in great shape (still with the original 300 Yen price tag!) and for a reasonable price:

I received a box from Japan today.
The Japanese Post Office having restarted their economy shipping service I had cleared out my Hobby Link Japan Private Warehouse (AKA a box on a shelf with "FRED" written on it).
I got;

For an ASLAV which may become a companion to my Republic of Australia Marine Corps AAV7R.

This may become Russian.  I thought they used them IRL but apparently not.
Crusader Mk 1 by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr

Can't remember why I got this, but I feel an RAAF Tiger Meet scheme coming on - with a colour change.

And at last, I have a Vanship and a Vespa.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

An eclectic and potentially fascinating mixture.  The Vanship and Vaspa in  Raspberry Ripple or Commonwealth Aerospace Agency livery might be interesting............ there's a quite spectacular backstory there just waiting for your imagination.

I thought that some of these had gone to the Soviet Union too!
When you start looking into it, you find a remarkable amount of British kit scattered around the place on lease-lend.  US Spitfires,  Ansons, Bren Carriers etc  and  Soviet Valentines , Matildas, Hurricanes and even a battleship.

It must be Russian, it says 'T45099' on the turret..............  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
