I didn't even know there WAS a Jetstream T3!  :o It's very rarely mentioned and Wiki ignores it totally. Were the T3s conversions from the T2s as they all seemed to be FAA aircraft?

No idea as I only know of four listed inmy copy of Brittish Military Serials which is only good up to 1987  :banghead:

Not many issues ago there was a very good article about Jetstreams in the Air-Britain Aviation World quarterly, (it could be a bit further back when in the quarterly AeroMilitaria magazine). I'll dig them out and have a re-read.

T2s were derived from T1s, no airframe changes.

T3s were Garrett-engine J31 new builds.

Amodel  do a 1/72nd scale  Jetstream  T3. It's  one of their newer releases  so it shouldn't be  too painful to build  either.

Rug Rat Resin does/did a 1/72 Jetstream 31, IIRC the one I have has Saudi Air Force markings. They also did a T3

There was a conversion kit to swap the Airfix kit's Garratts for Astazous, but I can't remember who did it. The same guys who did the Lancastrian conversion for a 1/72 Lancaster anyway, something like 'H&J', but they're long OOP by now. It came with a decal sheet for the T2 with both blue or red stripes.

I guess an Airfix Pucara is the only way to do that these days.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

And Aeroclub, sometime ago I bought a second hand Airfix Jetstream and when I looked inside, there was the Aeroclub conversion, the nacelles were vacuformed, the nacelle fronts and prop were white metal. Afterwards, the vacuform bits were dropped from the set. I've got a couple of the M&E conversions too. The M&E provided decals for the T1 and T2, one being RAF and the other RN

I have been informed that I will be expecting a refund for my order of the 1/72 Contrail Convair RB/B-36D as the supplier has run out of stock.

I was in town doing a little Xmass shopping so popped into what looked like a fairly cheap store only to find out that it was my local branch of The Works which I had not known had relocatedinto the local shopping centre so I walked out with

1 x 1/72 Airfix Srmstrong Whitworth Whitley GR.Mk.VII with a saveing of just under 25% going by the label on it.

So where are these branches of The Works that are stocking discounted Airfix stuff?  I've been in two or three so far and none have them.

Not my stash per se, but it's somat I've wanted since I was a wee lad growing up in Angus, Ontario. A single GP9 and maybe 3-4 cars would rumble through town daily, and it was always a treat to watch her trundle over the trestle spanning the Nottawasaga River. Any road, scored 3 today !

The kit portion would be the pair of Walthers Oil Loading Racks  I bought with them.

It had to be done...........  ;D

I just took delivery of the Kora F+W C-3605 kit from the Big H. OK, it was outRAGEOUSLY expensive for a quite small 1/72 scale kit, but in the interests of 'tail weight' research it just had to be done.  ;D

It has that delightful 'early Czech resin' smell that seems to have been lost in recent years, but it looks pretty good.

Now to try and figure what I can Whiff it into.........

Turbo prop  forward  air control  aircraft, or light  COIN aircraft, I will have to look the aircraft up properly as I i can't see it that well  on my phone.
