I calculated the the scale from the span of the model viz a viz the span of an RW Tu-104, so it would depend how accurately they'd moulded it.

Now as I only model in 1/72 or 1/144 the question is, what can I scale-o-rama the 104 into?  ;D ;)

Do away with the cockpit section and blank out the cabin windows to build it as a 1/72 large recon drone or cruise missile?

I was thinking along those lines, but your first idea won't come to anything as it doesn't HAVE any cabin windows!  ;D

A bit of PSR over the windscreen area should smooth that part out, and I'll maybe re-arrange the landing gear, those 'carrots' on the trailing edge just SCREAM 'TUPOLEV'!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

leave them on and let it scream Tupolev, build it as a aerial target drone simulating Russian bomber aircraft for the RAF to practice interceptions against...

The Valiant B.2 also had those u/c 'carrots' too, long before Tupolevs

Airfix 1/72 Spitfire Ia, Christmas present from my daughter.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

At least there's hardly any rigging on the Triplane mate

True.  But I have this warped urge to add interplane rigging just to mess with JMNs heads.

I may add floats to it.

Yet more goodies to unwrap today, as it's MY BIRTHDAY!

The 78th, for those of you that are counting....  ;D

My eldest sent me a 1/72 Revell Typhoon kit, the one that's a weapons set with an aeroplane thrown in for good measure. This one's the BoB camo'd version, and very good it is too.

Lovely kit, Kit, I've got one.  Happy Birthday!

Not exactly my stash, got two Airfix 'palm of your hand' scale ships to do with my daughter, HMS Victory and the Cutty Sark.

Another one for me, at least I'm counting it.  Lego Technic helicopter.  It can also be built as a very cool fighter with switchblade vg wings.  Finally in my forties I get something I asked for as a kid but  never got!  ;D

Happy birthday Kit

I assume as it comes with a weapons set that the Typhoon is not the "proper" one ? Mind  you that comes with bombs, rockets and cannon bays  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Yes, sorry, it's the tri-angular one with twin blow torch engines, not the prop one. But it has a similar camo scheme.....  ;D
