Ok, royal mail has been very slow from what i gather... this was posted on December 10th and was delivered today... I'd ordered a Heller Puma from korea and that was posted on the 8th and got here almost 3 weeks before this kit that was bought from a seller in Manchester... I'd already opened a case for a refund on ebay but closed that and left positive feedback as the seller's only fault was not answering to my email asking if he could find out what was going on with the tracking number, which was never recognized by the royal mail's track and trace service.
Anyway, i'd bought this to chop the fenestron tail rotor and use it on my whif AH-1 but now i've already started scratchbuilding one and won't let all the work go to waste so, this will probably be... Portuguese Navy?

And i'm also still waiting for the Tamiya 1/48 FW-190 D-9 that i won on the ISM show's free prize draw, which was sent before xmas... :banghead:

Just like when I bought it, I think I'd have to be drunk to get near the thing let alone ride up there in the washing machine tub.  ;D

Thanks to my head being stuck  in my backside again, I  forgot to  mention the other day that  my RAF bombs stash increased  from the very kind  Narses. Also  today  arrived some  resin 540lbers from 63cpe Aka David.  They are very  nicely made and will be  adorning  several of my future projects.  Many  thanks to  the both of you.

It may look weird, but at least it and it's predecessor actually worked

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

They were ugly but they did lead to some really cool flying things... ;D

The "device" looks quite fascinating.  I'll admit I have the sort of imagination that sees (in cartoon form) the working parts  come to a stop, and the POD/DUSTBIN/TUB on top start whirling round, much to the detriment of the inmate occupant.  Agreed, it did work...see youtube  extract below:-

I can't help feeling that putting the pilot's pod UNDERNEATH the airframe would have been a better idea.

Not only would the pilot have a better view of the enemy below him, but if he had to bail out for any reason he'd stand SOME sort of a chance of taking to a parachute, whereas with the actual positioning of his pod he'd be chopped meat in milli-seconds!  :o

Retrieved from the Postal Sorting Office this evening a couple of purchases from the big H with a voucher given to me for my birthday by my girlfriend.

1 x 1/72 Amodel HA-1109 K-1L

1 x 1/72 Special Hobby HA-1112 M-1L Buchon

Both will be whiffs, probably the 1112 will be Israeli with the 1109 dressed up to star in the Battle of Britten film

The Postie gave me a biggish parcel from the Big H today containing the 'Every Seafire kit you ever wanted' from Sword, and lots of add-on bits  to go with a Fairey Barracuda I have plans for.

The Seafires are amazing, as Lee says, they come with enough spare parts to build at least one spare model, goodness knows why. I can't see any differences between the various spare fuselages and wings and the main bits in each kit. One of them even has spare canopies!
