I have just been informed by eBay that I have won the lower half of the 1/72 vacform Shorts Mayo.
If I am not mistaken this would be the Shorts SC.1. I have always wanted to build my interpretation of the Shorts Sandringham. I have the Italeri Mk1 Sunderland in the stash.  Having read a few reviews there's a lot of work to be done to the vacform kit.

You are mistaken, it's the Short S. 21which a quick search of Wikipedia would show.

Short SC.1 Flying Boat would be much more fun though!  ;D
Oh to be whiffing again :-(

A quick way of making GALLONS of tea I'd have thought.  ;D

But it would taste a bit salty.  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Has to be a better fit than the ancient Hasegawa kit..

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

The Wooksta!

It's a 70s kit but was always well regarded as it's quite accurate shapewise.  It's quite likely that the 72nd one is pantographed down from it.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The Wooksta!

I saw the latter at Telford a few years back, but when I went back to get it... Gone.

I think Red Roo have just made another batch.  Should still be some available.
Postage won't be cheap.

Unlike the first one I built this one still had all four prop blades attached to the spinner when it arrived.

It wasn't for me anyway.  My interest in Mustangs ends with the D/K.

Another 1/72 Boeing B-52G Desert Storm and another Revell Breguet Br1150 without any glazing

Made the tactical mistake to let my self be taken away and ordered two Dorvack PA kits from the USA. Turns out to be an expensive mess, due to postage, customs, etc. ...  :-\  Should have known better, but now I pull it through and stock up my mecha kit pile(s).
