NARSES2

From the Big H the Kovozavody Prostejov 1/72 Dewotine D.510 in foreign service boxing.

Comes with markings for a Chinese and Soviet aircraft and the one that surprised me, R.A.F. whilst at Martlesham Heath in 1937. I assume the R.A.F. wanted to take a look at the motor canon ?

Anyway it is a new tool and doesn't look bad. Plastic is a bit soft, the edges to the larger parts will need a little trimming and there are a fair few injection pins to remove, but nothing that a new blade won't deal with  Detail looks o.k. and all in all looks a reasonable limited run kit.

On the plus side there are a fair few parts for the spares box, including a complete fuselage, and something I've not seen before a listing of everyone involved in the kit from the master model maker, through tool maker to the production team.

I've a mind to do this in a Central or Eastern European air force scheme, or possibly Danish ? We shall see.

From a certain online retailers 'warehouse' sale, a Revell Lancaster B.III, box opened but everything there for a reasonable price (approx half an Airfix new tool) joins the other 5 or 6 in the stash
and a Revell Starfighter for the latest group build.
And EBay informs me I've one a Revell F-16 with some Belgian anniversary scheme that looks quite attractive for about 1/2 RRP.
So not too bad.

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Gondor

Finally received the model I was going to build for the one week group build. First order got lost in the post or something. However the same idea will do for the Protatypes Group Build.

Won another couple of Vampires on ebay:

CMR Vampire F1, with postage a little more than a tenner
Heller Vampire FB5, no box, decals or distructions and half a tail boom missing.  Not that it matters as I intended it for spares recovery anyhoo.

And I've finally figured out what I want to do with that part started Aeroclub Vampire T11 I got a while back - I'll backdate it as either an early trainer or nightfighter. The spare tailbooms are in the Special Hobby F1 kit.

Went to the city to buy some building materials for the work i'm doing in my terrace and took a quick detour to go by the LHS... would be rude to come out empty-handed...

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Very rude, yes.........  ;D

;D Just had a look on scalemates cause i had no clue of what to expect from this kit before i opened the box, very glad to find nice detail and then i find out it's an old Esci kit. I can say it was worth it to be polite...  ;D

The one thing you can normally guarantee with Italeri kits no matter how old they are is that you will get a really good transfer sheet with some attractive options.

It is very rude not to buy anything.
What does the big green sticker say?  It looks like a local addition.

A bumper day here for new stuff.

An Airfix vampire T11 from eBay, the first one with the yellow stripes, and a parcel of resin stiff from The Wooksta to aid my Avro Leeds build. Nice one Lee.

Also got a BIG book, but that's in the Library section.

From the bay of evil,
Hasegawa  F-11f Tiger , bought it as I  thought  perhaps I  could  pass it off as a super sonic bigger  development of the Folland gnat.  It could be  Fleet air arm  too, in the sixties  so all over  sea grey.  Not sure what to  arm it with though, possibly just some  sneb pods and bombs.

It's a nice little kit, built mine as Aeronvale, but can see it as a Gnat development in FAA service

I was inspired by  Fred's (zenrat)  Australian fleet air arm  build  to do one as a British navy aircraft, so I had a look online and  saw this and thought  what if, like you do.

I have one in the stash listed to become a RAN FAA aircraft.  I like them because of the "shot itself down" story.
