1 x D-Toys 1/35 Vietnam War US Tanker Crew Set #2 (1 Figure) (DT35-049)
1 x Duplicata Productions 1/35 Vietnam War American Cigarettes (DU-59B-35)
2 x Duplicata Productions 1/35 Vietnam War US Beer Boxes (DU-46C-35)
1 x DEF Model 1/35 British RR Armoured Car Balloon Sagged Wheel set Vol. 2 for Meng Models (DEF-DW30044)
3 x Master Models 1/350 HMS Exeter 1939 Armament - Barrels for Trumpeter kits (SM-350-108)*
1 x MiniArt Models 1/35 WWII Australian M3 Lee [Interior Kit] (MA35287)

This lot arrived today &, man, the Aussie M3 box is packed with styrene & an instruction novel! :o

Don't know how accurate it is but there looks to be everything from a couple of Thompson sub-machine-guns (with spare drum mag's) to the Wright (Continental) R975 EC2 engine (which looks to be very well detailed). So far, I'm impressed.

As I said "elsewhere"  as long as it fits o.k. ?

I've had a few cockpit resin interiors (Airies in particular) which had a snowflakes chance in hell of fitting, very nice pieces of work, but getting them to fit ??  :-\

Ah, so that was you! Sneaky, using a different nom-de-whif!

As I said there: That will be a question for another day, probably not too far down the track, when I decide to build it. ;)

PS: It's the entire thing, tank & interior in one kit; so, hopefully, MiniArt know what they're doing ... maybe ...

Rescued from the local postal sorting office this afternoon a parcle from the Big Yellow H

4 x 1/72 AMK IAI Kfir C2/C7  ;D

I love this kit, I already have four of them so this makes eight

Most of them are destined to be real world builds using conversions by Scaleworx Resin Models]Scaleworx Resin Models but a couple will be whiffs.

Gondor

P.S. A further speculative trip to the sorting office as I got home to another missed delivery card s I now have the following as well

1 x 1/72 Airfix AV-8A Thhis is the second of two that I had ordered.

Dropped in to a model shop in Rossendale  this morning  to  get some  paint  and saw they had a 1/100 th scale  mig 21 in for £3.50. I already have one of these  that I  was going to make in to a  large  72nd scale missile, but the saw dust  got heated up and made me think  jet engine pods. They  look  remotely  1950's experimental  jet pod enough  for me with a bit of cutting and  puttying.

Valom 1/72 RB-45C Tornado in RAF Markings ....I shouldn't have done, but I did!
Oh to be whiffing again :-(

Because the old Airfix mould I am currently building is, well, of it's time, I dropped into the LHS and picked up the newer Airfix 1/72 Sea King HAR 3/Mk 43.
I may also build this RW as the RAN's Great White Shark.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I'd be interested to know how that builds as I have the Mach 2 kit in the same scheme, with the very tall fin flash, and I've always baulked at building it just because it IS a Mach 2.  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I have  pondered getting  one  of these  but I  have  not  heard good things about the  build quality of the kits. One  would  be a nice addition to my current whiff RAF  project, but  I  have been put off, shame  really.

The Valom version CAN'T be worse than the Mach 2 one, surely?

Can it?  :-\

It looks good in the box, I know that much!  But, that doesn't tell us anything about fitment.....

Early Valom kits are a pain to put it mildly, the P-75 for instance. However they have got better as time has gone on. The current ones are not that bad, the Fokker T.V. for instance, and although nowhere near "shake and bake" they build o.k. with a little patience. I tend to build a Tamiya/modern Airfix kit alongside them so that I can just tackle a small bit at a time.

I'm not sure how far along their "learning path" the RB-45 is, but Scalemates will tell you that.

Nipped over to Halifax Modellers World today and picked up the new Black Mike boxing of the Airfix 1/72 McDonnell Douglas Phantom FG.1.

Well buying it is one thing, getting around to building it is another!  :banghead: Maybe I'll have to move this on up the queue a bit and report back to you. The plastic inside looks nice and clean and crisp. It'll be a real-world build though, so I won't be able to tell you about it on here!
