If we had a Movie GB.  Well, you all get where I am headed with this...

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

These are the last items I purchased before my financial situation went completely down the drain. The Vampires I had been watching for awhile now, after shipping, tax and all, I got them for $13 a piece. I remember when they were higher than this and it was sort of a pain in the arse to get one for less than about $25 over here.

The rest of it all was interconnected.  I have a nutty plan to chop the front off of an F-16 and graft the front of a T-38 in there. Well, I don't need anything fancy for this so I bought the dirtest-cheapest Talon I could and it was Starfix. I have one on my stash already but as an exercise I plan to build it up as-is or just keep around in my T-38 collection since I like the plane and collect the kits.

Meanwhile, in looking at these things, I spotted the Sword T-38 in 1/72. I had been after it for a couple years and I scored for less than $20 and $6-7 for shipping. That was awesome. I had given up looking for one for the time being and here one is when I wasn't even trying!

At this point I get back to finding my T-38 and bought it only to be sent an F-5 instead. Naturally I squawked. I simply told the seller that they sent me the wrong item. I didn't say that I would have never actually paid for such a thing and that intentionally buying a Starfix kit is dumb but I wanted the T-38 but I don't want this thing. As I predicted, the cost of doing returns and stuff isn't worth it to him or myself either and I just got a straight up refund and got to keep the janky Starfix F-5. I do wonder, though, if it could possibly be WORSE Than the old Airfix F-5? If it's worse than THAT then.... boy....  ;D  Cool to get a free kit though!

Thanks, bud!  That really made my day...    Now I can build it and my little Tweet in the white and black(very dark blue) USAF training liveries. I watched those two planes fly over daily around here so I have to build 'em up.

I can understand that. Kfirs are addictive and offer lots of potential. I also have at least four in the stash...

Just ordered the Airfix Tucano and the Italeri Hawk 100 from a Portuguese online shop that had them on a 20% discount so the Tucano was 8€ and the Hawk was 12 so, with 7.26€ of shipping that's a good deal IMO, especially since i've been looking for these two for quite a while and the ones i've seen selling on ebay were around 30€ each!
But i know that i'll need to spend some extra money for the Tucano because of that horrible prop... :banghead:

Well played Fred, thanks for catching the typo!

Sorry.  Couldn't resist.

I have to go to the Post Office tomorrow (not the one I work at, another one closer to my Stately Zen Manor) to pick up a parcel from Poland.
How exciting...
