Just ordered the Airfix Tucano and the Italeri Hawk 100 from a Portuguese online shop that had them on a 20% discount so the Tucano was 8€ and the Hawk was 12 so, with 7.26€ of shipping that's a good deal IMO, especially since i've been looking for these two for quite a while and the ones i've seen selling on ebay were around 30€ each!
But i know that i'll need to spend some extra money for the Tucano because of that horrible prop... :banghead:
If you want anymore  tucano's I think I  have a  couple

What's wrong with the Tucano's prop, apart from the fact that it IS a prop.....?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

It's badly molded, Kit. I read some reviews about it and it has to be replaced.

At least it has one  and you know where you are when it comes to the "topping out" ceremony at the end of the build  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

It's badly molded, Kit. I read some reviews about it and it has to be replaced.

If you can find one, Aeroclub did a white metal detail set for the Tucano, V-093 (got one in the stash). It comes with two different props and exhaust pipes, u/c legs and wheels.

I may still have one of these sets somewhere. Useful noseweights so to speak.

Sure thing, i love the look of that little bird, mine will be converted into the EMB 314 Super Tucano as the Epsilon TB-30's replacement for the PoAF.

I've been looking for that set but can't find it anywhere... and i think it'll be very hard to find one at a reasonable price as they're OOP... :banghead:

The Wooksta!

Ebay says I've won that lot of Seafire bits I was bidding on.  Woo and indeed Hoo!  Same seller I bought the big box of bits from last time.  Plus there was a spare set of Seafire decals from the big Sword set.

Not being critical, just wondering, but did you look at it and think "urrrrgh, that's horrible that needs to go" or did you just go with the review?
I've got two Trumpeter Sea Furys and bought resin props not because the kit ones look wrong (they may, I can't tell) but because a review told me I should.
Still, it gives me two spare props for the parts box.

Today, from Poland via Evil Bay (at a good price with surprisingly cheap postage that wasn't too slow) I got another MiG for the collection;

I read the reviews and then took a look at the pictures and indeed, the blades are really bad and have to be replaced. Each blade is different...

I've built that mig... One of my first models when i got back to the hobby. Good for parts donation and whif stuff but it is very crude. Still, it's cheap enough to be worth it.

How does it fly without a pilot in the cockpit?   ;)

Maybe the pilot is vertically challenged?

I opened it up and examined it when it got here.  It's exactly what I expected.  Total cost including postage from Poland to Australia was less than I will have to pay for one of the new Airfix MiG 17s when they finally arrive in my LHS in 2023.
Trumpeter have announced a MiG 19 in the one true scale.  Hopefully that will appear this year sometime.

There are several clones of the original KP MiG-19 around (Plastyk, Eastern Express, Mister/Mastercraft) - and they are not bad at all. I had one without the original Airfix-esque rivet orgy, but with recessed panel lines instead. Still a bit crude overall, but a pleasant step forward!
