Just ordered a Sword 1:72 N.A. FJ-3 - might become an entry for the current "In the Navy" GB.

I do like the "B" model Tiger, but mostly it's the name Amusing hobby have chosen for the FV 217. Badger actually sums it up I think given the somewhat grumpy nature of the beasts and their tendency to put their heads down and push on  ;D

Well.......
So much for  getting rid of my stash.
A friend has just  visited me to see how I have been doing, and he gave me a taped up bin bag containing  2 model kits.  Both were bought his son for Christmas  as apparently he had asked  for them after  seeing  my models and borrowing a  book from me. They  are unopened  and as new. A revell  shackleton mr3  new version that come out last year  and a new Airfix shackleton mr2. Both quite expensive kits to be given away  and my friend refused anything for them. After having a fairly undecided think about them  I  am considering keeping them and possibly building the mr2 OOB as I like that it has turrets and guns on it. The MR3 could  be getting a  camouflage scheme  and get sent to  Indonesia  to do border patrols  so a slight wiff  there.  If I do build them as they both look very nice kits, I  hope that I  don't  make a  mess of them as I keep doing.  :banghead: they should  keep me quiet for a while.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

a friend is doing a reorganisation, and last night very kindly offered to let me have a 1:48 ch53, I said id love to take it off of his hands,   so when he turned up an hour or so later my jaw hit the ground when he pulled a stack of boxes out, saying that they were no longer part of his plan and if I didn't want them could I arrange for them to go to the club I attends tombola this summer.
the defiantly keep are the Airfix club harrier first and last twin pack ( just wow)
the airfix 1:72 lightning and dracken that his partner got so she could do a wing swap on, ( I think I will follow this idea!)
the 1:12 Yamaha motor bike and 1:24 F1 car im in two minds with, as id like to have a try at both, but don't want to just throw them together when I could donate them to a good cause,  ( will have to think).

and then I had a quick look inside the helo box and found a 1:48 Humve in there as well, utterly gobsmacked

It's a lovely conversion to work with, although I'd recommend an L-3 with the Jumo 213 engines.

OK, I don't have them yet but my wife is picking up 5 kits for me tomorrow. I can't remember brands (& in one case have no idea) but Eduard make one set, Modelsvit make, I think, 2 more & one, I'm fairly sure, is Eastern Express.

They're all 1/72 except the last;

L-39 Dual Combo (Eduard)
Something that looks like it might be a Yak-23 in Czech markings
TS-11 Iskra
BI-1
Il-96-300 (1/144)

I'll put up photo's when I have the kits.

Special Hobby do a Yak 23.  I'm sure one of the boxings has Czech markings on the box.  Whatever the brand, getting enough weight in the nose will be a challenge...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
