Some 1/48 purists (like me) will be upset with me but cost & space considerations have to come into play somewhere along the line.

Went into my local model shop and one of these caught my eye. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/dreammodel-dm-720011-z-19-black-whirlwind--1243802

Sadly, on opening the box we found that the clear canopy was smashed. With luck he'll have a replacement from his supplier by Friday and I can pick the kit up on Saturday.

They phoned me on Friday morning, I finally got in there on Saturday afternoon and I am now the proud owner of a Z-19 Black Whirlwind!
I admit it cost me more than online or Hannants but you know, support your local model shop!

It looks good in the box, I've put a quick review on my thread. Nicks Notes

I hope the OH is not out of work for too long, Ray.

The decal sheets seem good. The new Xtradecal MiG-17 sheet https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/X72313 is worth having too. Ugandan, Madagascar and Burkino Faso options and LOTS of whiff potential. I have several planned.

Shur' just going to have to wait and see what happens, but It's not looking good for business in Ireland.
Approximately 140,000 people over the weekend were laid off, mainly service/tourism/hospitality industries.

I'm just going to have to think twice, and three times before I hit that 'Buy now' button!

The Phallanx class starship I ordered from Madman's Shipyard waaaay back in January has finally docked and I collect her on Wednesday. Mind, I had to cough 30 notes of gold pressed Latinum to release her from the Ferengi Post Office...

New to me is the Airfix Rockwell Bronco.
A second DC-6B securite with instructions this time.
Two started projects;
1/48 Tamiya A-10A Thunderbolt II
1/72 vacform HS Nimrod MR.1,  no landing gear or decals,  everything else is cut out. Just needs PSR and gluing together.

You should all be aware that international post delivery times are all over the place at the moment because of you know what.

Take any quoted timescales with a very large pinch of salt and don't expect to get anything quickly.  I wouldn't even rely on International Express getting through when it is meant to.
Signatures on delivery are also out of the window as people will be avoiding contact between delivery drivers and customers.

I can't comment on local postal services.

It seems 'signed for' packets in the UK are being accepted as having arrived if the postie adds their own signature with the caveat 'Covid-19' added too!

I've not had any experience of this myself yet, but I've had three people tell me so.
