It's like Christmas here today.  ;D

We had a second post amazingly and he brought me a bottle of Tamiya thinners to go with the Tamiya paint I've already got (and others that I should get in the next few days) and a M'box Canberra PR9 I won off eBay.

I only really need the starboard engine exhaust from the Canberra kit, but no other types will fit the Series 200 Avons on a PR9, and you can never really have too many Canberra kits, can you?   ;D

No, but you can run out of space in which to store them...

Pretty much, it's about 35 ft long, 30 ft wide and over 6 ft high in the middle, LOTS of space. And as it was built in 1856 it doesn't have those silly A Frame things that most modern houses do, just LOTS of space.

It's like my secondary stash location - me Mam's loft.  Similar size and built in the 1930s.

Same dimensions as the workshop/garage I have (only mine's a tad taller, like twice the height)
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

What about a Blenheim I to go with it?  Ye olde Frog kit is a nice one to just throw together with little trouble bar fairing in the canopy.

I do have a spare Airfix one in the stash
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The Wooksta!

The Magna Swift I ordered last week has arrived.

I've also gone against the grain and ordered some Luftwaffe stuff off ebay:
Daimler Benz Projekt "B" - that's the BFO carrier aircraft that could carry one project bomber or 5 parasite suicide aircraft.

Now, this isn't for me but a mate, Willie Smith, who some of you will know and for my money he's one of the best Luftwaffe 46 modellers in the UK.  I'd blown up the plans for him some years back and he was going to scratchbodge it (and he said yesterday that if the lockdown goes on much further than the end of May he was going to make a a start on it as he's got the balsa ready...) but I found this a day or so back and said I'd get it for him.  £160 plus another £20 postage.

I suspect it's a copy of a Vami kit, itself a copy of the Toad Resins kit from the mid 90s - and it was £200 then.  I'm not sure who has the masters for it now.

I also ordered a pair of Blohm und Vos types from teh same ebay seller, the Bv 155C (and I think it's wrong anyway) and the P.184 four engined maritime patrol aircraft.

I saw their mock up on their stand at Donnington in '94 - my first Nationals and incidentally the same day I first met you (you had the Twinfire on the SIG stand) and I joined the SIG the same day.  I think J.C. Carbonnel was there too as I'm sure I remember talking ti him also.

Ebay tells me I've won the slew of Spitfire decals I was bidding on.  All from the Czech republic and all from various AZ kits and I'm particularly happy to have won the sheet for the PR.I type G, as I've stolen the serials from both of mine.

Okay, kit decals, but the AZ ones are pretty decent and spare serials are always very useful to have.  You can never have too many spare Spitfire decals.

Which one Kit? There's been enough of them down the years scattered across the UK....

A 'Self Care' package arrived yesterday from a certain warehouse in Suffolk.

It contained.....

1/72 Italeri C-130E/H

and an assortment of related aftermarket bits. The kit will be converted to a RAF C.3 and then given the 25th Anniversary of RAF Hercules scheme. The rest of the bits are destined for an RAF AC-130K, a wiff I have wanted to do for many years.
