I'm sorely tempted by the VC10 tools, but I'd need a heck of a vacuum cleaner to make it work.

The Wooksta!

I thought about it for about a second - the Viking mould - and then rejected it.

Besides, lets just say for a minute that someone was to buy them and did a limited run - who's going to buy a 72nd vacform airliner these days?  I mean, Mach Poo have a VC10 and a Viscount available and Valom are threatening a Viking/Valetta.  IIRC RAM had bought the VC10 moulds and were going to do a limited run with resin bits for about £60 each, that's not far off a Mach Poo one.  Most people will, I feel, go for the Mach Poo one on the grounds that "it's less work than a vacform".

Pause for sarcastic effect.

RAM Models have/had all the Airways moulds, but the stories I've been hearing is the guy who runs it had got himself into doo-doos. Lots of irate customers who put up money and no product to show for it --- from what I've heard/read ----

The Wooksta!

It's a familiar tale and I can name* at least three traders who've done the same things.  Two of them were being actively hunted by customers they'd ripped off and who wanted to break their kneecaps.

*For legal reasons, I'll not do so.  However, two of them used to have full page ads in the back of Scale Aircraft Modelling.

They obviously have more variety in the Berlin model shops now than when I lived there!  :o

A few new arrivals over the past week or so, all from the eBay fairy;

1/48 Airfix Sea Fury FB.11
1/48 Roden Gladiator Mk.1-Very pleasant surprise to open the box and find TWO complete kits in sealed bags inside.  Not sure if this was a factory mistake or the seller's mistake, but it was listed as a single kit and price was reasonable even for one.  Safe to say I"m pleased on this one.
1/48 Tamiya Mustang Mk.III
Also a nice selection of Xtradecal sets for Tornadoes and Hawks, including a lot of anniversary and special schemes.  Also the Xtradecal Hunter F.6 sheet Part3,  and Model Alliance Early Lightnings sheet.   All in 1/48.

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

The Wooksta!

Ebay says I've won the following:

Brengun Blohm und Voss Bv 40 - it was fairly cheap and one in captured British markings hasn't been done.  I think.

Both Modeldecal Vampire sheets - I really only wanted the 607 Sqn option to go on my 607 Sqn Hunters, but the others may look better on 1081s or Venoms.

There's also a set of the Modeldecal 607 markings on the way from Nick (thanks, BTW), so I think I've got enough to do the quartet of Hunters (F4, F6, T7 and FGA9) plus a Jet Provost and the 1081 Kestrel.

After a long hiatus I ordered a kit, an Airfix A-4B/Q Skyhawk - in part for the decals, in part for the plan to convert it into an A-4L or something similar.
And some F8F vacu canopies for the domor bank.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

That Arado was the kit that got me back into modelling. I'd popped into Beatties at High Holborn just to get some paint for my figure painting and saw it on the shelf and bought it for some reason. Cost me £6, yes it's still in the stash  I've also got the night fighter version.
