Two AZ Hornet PR2s from the Big H, and a canopy mask for them as well. (They only had one...)

See my notes about the kit in the AZ thread.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

The Flagon does not seem to get much Whif love, but I have an idea.....

I've chopped-some of these (rather crude) PM Model Su-15s - they are good donor banks for conversions , e.g.:

Nice Dizzy, I recalled you had done a few.  Some of the less popular Soviet types are under-wfiffed.

Thank you. Yes, it's a huge chunk of an aircraft - the Soviet F-4, sort of. I have plans for a two-seater with VG wings (from a Su-17) for the near future, as a late update attempt for a tactical interceptor with better start/landing capabilities than the delta-winged original.
A pure delta Su-15  might also work, in the style of an Avro Arrow?

My AZ Hornets have just been delivered. I'll compare to the SH ones and report back tomorrow.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The Wooksta!

Won another Skybirds Sea Hornet NF21 on ebay.  At this rate, I'll have more Hornets than actually built.

The two AZ Hornets from the Czech Republic have arrived. Something about the nose bothers me.

Picked up from Uncle Frank
2 x Master Vulcan refuelling probe
Flightpath Vulcan K2 conversion and detail set
Aircraft in Miniature Skybolt conversion (my advice?  Get Colin's, it's better and cheaper, although the AiM one comes with decals)
Kit's World Vulcan decal sheet.  Has a mass of serials and unit badges.

The more alert may have spotted a theme here...

The one that didn't arrive is the Vulcan B1/B1a conversion.

Is that a boast or a complaint Lee ?

Merely a comment.  I'm not one to boast.

Anyhoo, another Vulcan snaffled off ebay, this one with Aeroclub bang seats, PP Aeroparts and Flightpath detail sets, for coppers over 20 notes.

Funny you should say that, I have something Phantom-esque like planned for this Flagon, something not imagined by her interceptor focused designers.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

There were 383 Hornets built. I doubt you've got that far yet!

Lots of potential for foreign users in service though.

The Wooksta!

Think I've a quarter of that.  Not inckuding the built or part started ones...

Just snatched one of these off our local EvilBay variant. And for a rather reasonable sum, considered second hand prices on the web.
It's a pretty cool cargolifter, and I believe a few still are hauling stuff in Canadas NorthWest Territories.

Not too long ago, the roads leading to the capitol of Bolivia was so awful that they had to air freight most things up to the city, including food. For quite a few years, these Curtiss's were used in that business, effective due to their ability to haul heavy loads through thin air at altitude. The livestock was driven up to a local airstrip, slaughtered and butchered at site, then loaded fresh on the "meatwagons" or "carniceros" in spanish, then flown directly to La Paz. There's a video of one of these machines displaying over Lake Titicaca, interspersed with actual photos from the carnicero work. I'm linking it below. It's not long ago, yet like peering into a time machine..

The C-46 is a cracking looking aeroplane, and amazingly large too. People think it's a 'Fat Dak', but it's LOTS larger.

I went aboard 'China Doll', the C-46 that flies with the Confederate Air Force (or whatever they're called these days) and it's HUGE! Sitting in the LH seat the cockpit windows are a foot or two away to your left and go down below your shin level!  :o

Buffalo Air uses them.
