A box from BNA Modelworld arrived for me at work today.

One of the benefits of working for the P.O. I suppose ?  ;)

We weren't allowed to have parcels delivered to us at the office back in the day, mainly for legal reasons but there were others. All got a bit complicated.

We got told years ago to stop having parcels sent to us at work. Mainly because there was too much coming in around Christmas time but also because it was claimed by some that their deliveries had gone missing and they blamed the office staff when it wasn't really their job to deal with it.

NARSES2

The main reason we were given/I had to give people was to do with questions of responsibility if the package went missing. It was far more complicated then that, but that was the crux of it.

The decals I ordered from Hannants at the end of April were at the post office yesterday, along with the duplicate decals that Hannants sent to replace them in early July (it was thought the first set were lost). So, two sheets of XtraDecal white post war serial numbers & letters, two sheets of Print Scale FJ-Fury assorted variants are now in the stash.
Why both packages arrived at the same time is anyone's guess ---- but I should add it was something to do with once they got into Canada.

Australia Post offer a service called Parcel Collect which allows customers to have parcels delivered to the Post Office instead of to their house.  I am merely taking advantage of that.   ;D

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Royal Mail offer something similar over here now, but as far as I'm aware they charge for it. I assume employees don't have to pay  ;)

In actual fact Royal Mail and the good old postie have been one of the "hero's" of this pandemic as they've kept the service going all the way through it  I must remember to take something into the local sorting office at Christmas.

It's good to see manufacturers bringing out more and more of these inter-war types  Must admit if Telford or the London shows had been on it's quite likely I would have bought one as an "impulse buy" from a trader. Type of buy I need to look at first before parting with the cash.

When I got back to 'My home in the east' today, there was a parcel from the Big H containing a 1/72 CMR resin Westland Welkin kit.

I've wanted one of these for years ever since I saw the kit at Telford one time, but now I can afford it, and Big H had one.

Now they haven't.  ;D

In the final phase of getting all the Thunderbirds stuff together.....   This is the last set of decals I need. Warbird has recently made some for the F-35, but not in 1/72 yet. I suspect they will at some point then I'll have to have those as well.

Between the kit and these things the Thunderbirds Provider is a pretty expensive project in my world but... hey... I have the stuff now and looking forward to making it.

Two things left for the Thunderbirds to go: an F-106 kit and the F-16 kit.

EDIT: I forgot to down size the images; if these are too annoying for a number of folk, I can redo them. On my screen they fit (barely!) without messing up anything though so I'm hoping the same is true for most everyone else.

I've opened the box now, and WOW!

I was amazed that the (Oh so looooooong .......) wings and engine nacelles are all moulded in one piece!  :o

Funny, that....  I literally just had my hands on my 1/72 B-52 kit. I keep having to move that big @#^@#^! during my whole re-organizing project. Man that thing would be SWEET in red white and blue!!!!

Speaking of potential T-Birds, would the B-47 qualify? It had to be able to do a half loop in order to practice "toss" bombing, after all ;)
