Received yesterday, the High Planes Mirage 5F and a couple of resin French type IFR probes, directly from PJ productions in Belgium. Went to the LHS to buy 4 jars of Tamiya paint and a couple of Citadel detail brushes but, because i had to park my car further away than i normally do, i had to be rewarded by the enormous effort of walking a good 20/25 metres more so i brought the Airfix Stang... ;D ;D ;D

I can appreciate that thinking.  Well done.
Although it appears you may have made a mistake and bought the wrong scale 'stang.   ;D ;)

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Just snaffled a high planes 1/72nd scale  RB-57 D of someone  on Facebook.  Not a clue how good or bad the kit is so a bit of a gamble for me. I have one other high planes kit and that is of a Pantera and not attempted it as yet. Has anyone here  built  this kit?
Cheers
Chris

Yes.  I've made two of them.  They turned out quite well.  Not "shake and bake" of a Tamigawa kit but still worth the effort.

Just received that french made VC10 in 1/72 I had missed out on from big H. It is one godawful kit, but it's still the best game in town, so I'm a happy camper.

To spread the freight cost somewhat, I added a bunch of standard roundel/insignia decals (I never seem to have enough), a PV-2 Harpoon that will be more or less RW italian, I think, and a F-16I that I plan to frankenstein together with the Monogram F-16XL to create a fully modern twoseat Strike Eagle alternative. Can't decide on what language will be spoken in cockpit, though, but that will sort itself in due course.
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

;D No, it was no mistake... I want to build my favorite WWII birds in that scale, too. I've built one 1/72 Airfix Stang and i'd like to build another one in 1/48, just like i did with the Spitfire. I like both scales, 72nd for the size which allows for a greater number of kits on the display cabinets but 48th is for the detail so only a selected list in that scale. At present date, my stash is 118 in 1/72, 35 in 1/48, 3 in 1/32, 2 in 1/50 and 1 in 1/144 so i'm still more of 72 guy... although i do have plans for a few more in other scales and i do have a bigger 1/48 stock compared to my LHS... ;D

From the eBay Fairy, HobbyBoss 1/48 FJ-4 Fury.

Looks a nice kit and pretty simple.  May build as a RW USN one with a nuke or it may end up in RAN or RCN markings.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Cheers, I am looking forward to getting it  now as I was a bit dubious of it to be honest . I am  in need of  some more  high altitude  snoopers for my RAF builds.

Amazon had them cheaper. Do they ship to Europe?

Also, purchased on ev!lbaye, 1× Airfix Series 1 Revenge and 1× Golden Hind. Thinking about a Mayflower, and using rod styrene to add guns. I wish Airfix would repop these because I want to wargame with them in fleet sizes. Did Airfix release any other English Razing galleons?

How does it become an S1? Does someone already do a conversion kit for it?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

and 1× Golden Hind.

Gawd, that brings back memories. Brilliant white plastic, a stand to pose it on and black "rubbery" plastic scrambling nets. I have a vague memory of an unsuccessful attempt to float one in the bath ? Not sure if the memory is an accurate one or not though ? Age you know
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
