Also picked up Vallejo's Fairy Flesh Set for some figure painting, from another shop.

Does it sparkle?

No, no!  You want the "Twilight characters Flesh Set"...   ;) ;)

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Gondor

Received today from Model Hobbies via eBay

1 x 1/72 MPM Havoc Mk.II Turbinlite

I bought this hopeing that the clear turret parts would be in the kitwhich it isn't. The kit will not go to waist though, Suez Canal Defence Force I think, desart camo on the upper surfaces sounds good.

Unfortunately, no.  But I picked up some pigments a few months back that glow in the dark to a crazy level:

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

New?  :o

Stretching things a trifle I suspect, but a very nice kit nonetheless. Does it still have the skis included from the Antarctic Expedition version?

From the Big H the latest boxing of Special Hobby's Boomerang. Not sure whether to do this as one of the options in the kit or maybe as a RNZAF bird in the Solomon's ?

Also got a few masking sets, Eduard, SH and Peewit together with a couple of Yahu instrument panels. Doesn't quite make up for Telford, but it's a start.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

SWMBO stopped in to Hobby Lobby this week, and since they were having a 40% off sale on models she picked me up an Airfix 1/48 P-51D.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Everything was new once Kit.  Even me.  But yeah, hardly a new mould when this one was repopped.  New box art maybe?
I haven't studied the parts yet.  They all seem to be off the sprues but there are what look like floats.  Not sure about skis.

Added a Unimodels 1:72 Bergepanzer 38 (Hetzer conversion) to The Stashâ„¢ - with the concrete plan to convert it into a "Kugelhetzer" SPAAG, a project that was actually in planning but never realized. I still have one of those ball turrets left in store from one of those MadellCollect walking E-75 tanks...

Yes, I guess so. I was 'new' in 1942.  ;D

If it's got the floats it is the original mould, it came with all the options, and in bright ORANGE plastic originally!  :o

Got one in the stash, rescued part started from a charity shop.   Yellow plastic, advertised as an "Auster Antarctic" on the label.

Perhaps the plastic dulled to orange over time?

Mine was very orange, and took LOTS of paint and primer to ensure the NMF scheme I did it in stayed silver(-ish).

It was a USAF one, a MOST unlikely  happening.  ;D
