Two packs of Hataka Blue Line paints, one of Italian Air Force WW II colours for my S77 and Hornet PR5 builds, and one of RAF Desert scheme stuff just to try them out. And a Trumpeter engraving tool to replace the one that's lost somewhere in my house.  :banghead:

I bought them from G Force Models in Wisbech, and I can't recommend them enough. Super packaging, good prices (plus they actually had the Blue Line paints in stock!) AND they included a lolly in the parcel!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

One of those "occasions"... Came across a vintage Megaro Zamac mecha kit from the Eighties. Pretty rare and in (very) good condition, and it had a minimum bid of only EUR 8,-. Too cheap to be ignored, and I turned out to be the only bidder.  Not certain if it gets build (I have another one of these in The Stashâ„¢, too), maybe I put it up for sale again - but prices of these things are rather erratic and unpredictable.

My next door neighbour has had a tidy up and found two parcels with my name on them.
One has a 1/72 Italeri Boeing B-52 G, secondhand and the other has a 1/12 body shell of the Jaguar Lynx Eventer.
I've been looking on line for a cheap toy car that I can use as a donor vehicle; chassis,  wheels,  front seats,  dashboard,  steering wheel,  lights and engine if it has one. So I can turn the Eventer into a van. The alternative is an R/C banger. A roommate does have a broken R/C car with huge tyres. I know nothing about R/C models or electronics but I might be able to stretch the chassis and buy a set of tyres.

Another of my personal holy grail kits that I have been wathcing out for decades: I finally got hands (again) on a "Run Valam", also from the Megaro Zamac robot kit series (which was not based on a TV series, these were just colorful kits that IMAI launched to skim the mecha kit rage in Japan at that time).

IMHO one of the weirdest and coolest mecha designs of the Eighties. If Darth Vader ever had a personal war machine, this would be it!?

These things are frequently on offer and not really rare, but every seller thinks that they are and benchmarks other sellers' bloated prices. However, I eventually got it at a reasonable price of EUR 35,- incl. postage. Not cheap, but "normal" price tags for this kit are generally much more surreal. Things normally start at EUR 60,- upwards, I have even seen some on offer for EUR 150,- and more (that did not sell, anyway). I was able to talk the seller into the kit's worthlessness for a collector because the instructions were missing, and the kit had been on German ebay for ages without any taker.

Pretty happy. I used to have one, many moons ago (and still have the instructions for it! You never know... ), and it was among my very first robot model kit purchase, together with an 1:100 Destroid Defender from Macross. The model was built back then with juvenile enthusiasm and disintegrated over time, its spares were partly used in scratch builds - but I am now very happy to have another one, to be built OOB.

From eBay-

1/48 AFV Club F-5E
1/48 Kitty Hawk Jaguar A

I hear the Jag is a pig of a kit but mu plan is to try to beat it into submission as a Naval version.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

It's because sellers rarely look at what they actually sold for (if they sold at all).  They just look at what was asked and then their greed cuts in.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Found an Airfix Valiant for just below £30 (corresponding) which seems quite reasonable. I have a good purpose for it lined up as well.

I also placed a bid on a Heller SE 535 Mistral, i.e. a french reengined Vampire, after having realised that the engine cowling really is significantly different in comparison to a British Vampire. To my surprise, I got that too for the start bid. They're not that common over here while you can get std Vampires by the dozen as they were once the backbone of the RSwAF. Happy camper!

Now, I just need to take something out of the stash too, not just putting in..

..as in actually building something..  ;D

I know how you feel. Lockdown has given me the chance actually gather all my kits from all in hiding holes and to split them into groups : To Do (727 ) and To Move On ( 1,402  :banghead:) !

At my rate of building I'll be 138 years old providing if (IF) I don't buy anything new !
