I know that quite well.  Fell off the back of a 5t cargo truck in what turned out to be my penultimate Annual Training back in '12, and failed to miss the ground.

....... and failed to miss the ground.

Did you try though? That's what counts.

Obviously you weren't distracted at the last moment, that's the trick.

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

Well played sir...well played.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

An order from the Big H arrived today containing a re-popped Airfix Dominie, and a Sword U-125, intended for various Freightdog add-ons of course. (and I just won an eBay auction which included a M'box 125-600, so I'll have all the colours and all the sizes of DH-125s now)

And my first ever large scale tank kit arrived, a 1/35 Tamiya Challenger 2 Desertised. Am I ever thinking I've bitten off more than I can chew, it's MASSIVE! And it has lots and lots of very small and funny shaped bits and pieces that I haven't a CLUE about.  :o :-\

I'm glad I've got the Haynes book, at least I've got some chance if figuring out what bit goes where and what it does.

Never thought of looking in Aldi's.

Meanwhile parcel arrived from the Big H, 1/72 Azur Ms-406C.1 and a Peewit canopy mask to go with it. This particular boxing was on special offer for some reason so I got it at a good price. Comes with 2 canopies, 1 marked not for use, no idea why as a quick look shows no apparent difference ?

This is intended for the Captured GB.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

This was all over Facebook. Delighted to see the JP as I have plans for all three inspired by the BAe P164 Basic Trainer project. The 190 i needed a similar engine and the Hurricane just because I could.

It seems to be Aldi/Lidl's bulk buy of small starter kits around Christmas that  has happened in the last few years.

Buying the milk and bread never was so pleasurable. :)

My latest eBay acquisition...it will sit on the shelf unopened for obvious reasons...

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Wow.  It has never occurred to me that people would get models autographed.
Although I think i'd remove the shrink wrap and get the lid signed.  That way I could still build the model and have a signed box.

Today I got a small packet from Blue Rider in the UK.  These are for the captured GB if I finish the first two builds in time.

I also got some paint from Metro Hobbies in The City.  These are dangerous times so the paint needed protection.
Two of these.  Which will be mounted on Captain Fat Hamsters Sky Pirates airship.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

They are excellent.
