In the past weeks i've received a bunch of stuff i hadn't put on here...
I'd mentioned the Italeri A-10 and F4U-7 before but after those came the Italeri/Revell choppers, bought in one order cause i found a shop here in Portugal where they were selling a private collection of a modeller who died earlier this year... The Airfix Angel interceptor came with the choppers just to have a round price of 40€ including postage for the whole package. That's a sweet deal in my book!

The Dream Model AH-1Z was one i'd been looking for but i didn't want to buy it for over 50€...i wanted a good price and finally found it in the AMMO by Mig online shop at 39,95€. Best part is that it was cheaper than any others i'd seen and i had free shipping as the shop is just a couple of hours from the border. Ordered past Sunday and received the following Tuesday morning. Result!!

Now, while i wait for some Detolf shelf brackets and a battery for my laptop pc, i'm also waiting for the Bell 412 in 1/72 by Italeri coming from Italy, a Revell 1/48 Apache Longbow coming from Germany and, today's buy, one Italeri 1/48 RAH-66 Comanche snagged at an Ebay auction.

My latest eBay acquisition...it will sit on the shelf unopened for obvious reasons...

So this arrived today and to my surprise the signature is under the shrink-wrap on the box, not on the plastic as I thought.  Apparently it was resealed (done well too) to protect the signature.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Freightdog Dominie radar trainer set arrived (thanks Colin).  Excellent set - some of the parts will adorn my eventual real-world build, the rest a whif.

Whole bunch of brass tubing and stuff plus a pot of Mr Hobby Dissolved Putty, just to see how it works.

All the instructions are in Japanese though.  :-\
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Also one of these.

I will keep my Roden Brisfit company when I get to building it.  I am impressed with what is in the (albeit overly large) box.  PE, masks, a huge sheet of transfers including two different lozenge patterns for the top sides of the wings, two complete fuselages, eight props, 12 wheels...

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

A Frieghtdog parcel arrived today with lots of yummy resin bits inside, for DH125s and Hunters etc.

Frieghtdog parcels are always recognisable, they have a certain class about them, neat, solid, and well taped up.

That's interesting Jon, thanks. I do use Mr Surfacer 500 for some jobs, but this looks as though it could be useful as well. When the show circuit starts up again (moi, an optimist ?  ;)) O might invest in some.

Mind you I have used watered down PPP in a similar way to that described in the review, but that does shrink a fair bit.

Yahu are my go to now for instrument panels, easy to use and good price

If you could move that Fokker to the top of your build pile I'd appreciate it. I have one in the stash and thought you could return the favour re my builds of the Raiden and La 5 ?  ;)

Finally found a good price on eBay so I splurged on a kit I've wanted for a long time...Hobbyboss 1/48 A-10. Looks very nice in the box and I hear it goes together very nicely.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

I'll see what I can do.  It might even be RW as the colourful std schemes are all very tempting.

I should check my kit boxes before buying more Yahu IPs.  While putting them away I discovered I already had one for the Airfix Hurricane Mk I.  I put the spare in the AZ Hurricane Mk V box.  You never know, it might fit.

I have one in paint at the moment (well, its a T2 but most of the plastic is the same).  They go together quite well.
