I should check my kit boxes before buying more Yahu IPs.  While putting them away I discovered I already had one for the Airfix Hurricane Mk I.  I put the spare in the AZ Hurricane Mk V box.  You never know, it might fit.

I know I shouldn't admit this but I keep a spreadsheet for all my accessories in order to avoid any slip ups like that. Doesn't stop them occurring, but does cut down on their occurrence. I think   ;)

My second  Airfix Dominie kit arrived today  so I can  build  both of Colin's  conversion  aircraft.  I  received the redtop missiles a few days ago, but the conversion sets have yet to appear. Fingers crossed.

Just invested in some more "ready-to-use" 20x20cm resin diorama bases for photography, with cobblestone and dirt track surfaces.

Gondor

Just received some home made decals from India.

They are the squadron markings for the second of the two Sea Harrier Squadrons and the person was kind enough to do them in both 1/72 and 1/48 scale for me.

1 x 1/72 Italeri Wessex HAS.3 N0.1330 Falklands Anniversary edition

Will be real world and not necessarily OOB.

My two Dominie conversions arrived in the post today, glad they have as i was starting to wonder where they were. Very nice they are too. The weapons trainer will be RAF in the late 70's and an operational version carrying the newly acquired Harpoon anti ship missiles. The aircraft can be used as a stopgap anti shipping asset if need be. The naval COD version will probably be a bit less imaginative, and be done as per.

Set of transfers for the Ki-27 (including the elephants) arrived along with a couple of masking sets to keep it company in the envelope from the Big H.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I wouldn't blame Colin for this late delivery, I've had all sorts of things taking time to come by post.  Deliveries that usually take 2 or 3 days are taking three to four weeks.  Royal Mail/Hermes/Fedex/DHL   are no doubt doing their best, but circumstances are against them.  In this case, as in many others, good things come to them what waits.

We do have on board a representative of Australia Post, who can wax eloquent about the problems more cogently than me.

I've had a kit coming via third party across our Southern border. We're joined at the hip. Mexico to USA: Package took two months. It's to be expected right now.

Recent crap for me. These are repeat buys. This Douglas was cheap and seems a nice kit, so I bought a second.

These are just some of the neatest kits I have, I think. I bought two more so now I have three. $15 a piece with free shipping. They are nicely inexpensive but when I look at the stuff I'm blown away by the quality!  They even come with PE sets and the decal sheets have options for 5 different aircraft so.... yeah buddy I want multiples!

Can't be as bad as the decals I ordered from Hannants, sent end of April, arrived a few weeks ago. But to boggle the mind, they sent a replacement order because the first set hadn't arrived after 3 - 4 months, and these arrived the same day as the first set --- go figure ----

Yes, Roden do some good stuff in the 1/144 airliner market, albeit a tad pricey sometimes.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Never even  crossed  my mind , Colin  has always been  spot on  when I have bought stuff from him. I  know  a few of the  posties one is a good friend of mine, and he said time of year and lack of staff due to covid  have taken their toll on deliveries.  I have been offered an Academy  c-97 a for cheap  money  and I am sorely tempted.  BUT... its a huge kit and I  will struggle with storage never mind  room to build  it. I want a  decent sized transport aircraft  from the 50's to 60' for my RAF builds, but I think I will bite off more than I  can chew with that one, we shall see.
