You need a Beverley.  ;D
I would  love a 1/72nd scale  Beverley , I  have plans for one but even if there was a styrene  one in1/72nd scale, I  would have the same predicament, where to put it :banghead:

I stopped at the Ollies store in Indiana yesterday and picked up a Lindburg 1/48th Snark and a Mars Probe rocket model. $25.00 for the pair. Not quite sure what to do with them but I'm sure I'll think of something.

Recent crap for me. These are repeat buys. This Douglas was cheap and seems a nice kit, so I bought a second.

Yes, Roden do some good stuff in the 1/144 airliner market, albeit a tad pricey sometimes.

No doubt!  Same for 1/72. I caught the vapors when I finally bought my C-123. HAD TO HAVE IT, though, for the Thunderbirds collection.  ;D       But even this one here in 1.144. The first one I bought was about twice what I paid for this one. Buying these things is like splurging for Sunday dinner. Mental gymnastics to justify the cost are oft required.  ;D

A good haul today!

From the eBay Fairy:

Accurate Miniatures 1/48 TBF-1C Avenger
Revell 1/48 Rafale M

And from a trip to Hobby Lobby:

Bandai 1/48 Star Wars AT-ST.  I think this one will be a "Captured" GB entry in either Rebel or mercenary colors.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Did the same here... the promise of model kits is what got me in the store in the first placed. Turns out a pretty neat store! Not ALL of the stuff for sale is an actual bargain but a lot is. I stocked up on rattle cans. I almost bought that Snark kit myself but figured I was pressed for time.  They had other kits like a colossal stagecoach and a large tall ship but no stuff that appealed to me. A pretty neat store, though.

I grabbed a Snark and a Monogram F-102 last month.  As of last week they still have a lot of them and the Mars Probe.  Im leaning towards the Mars Probe and another Snark
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Don't worry about it too much Brad, it gets a lot easier as you get older   ;)

I've grown to ignore such pangs of guilt by now.  ;D ;D ;D

My two Dominie conversions arrived in the post today, glad they have as i was starting to wonder where they were. Very nice they are too. The weapons trainer will be RAF in the late 70's and an operational version carrying the newly acquired Harpoon anti ship missiles. The aircraft can be used as a stopgap anti shipping asset if need be. The naval COD version will probably be a bit less imaginative, and be done as per.

I wouldn't blame Colin for this late delivery, I've had all sorts of things taking time to come by post.  Deliveries that usually take 2 or 3 days are taking three to four weeks.  Royal Mail/Hermes/Fedex/DHL   are no doubt doing their best, but circumstances are against them.  In this case, as in many others, good things come to them what waits.

We do have on board a representative of Australia Post, who can wax eloquent about the problems more cogently than me.

A completely unofficial, non authorised "representative" who's words are not to be in any way taken as being the company line.  The views expressed are my own yadda yadda blah blah etc

So here's the problem.  During the Victorian shutdown workforces in sorting facilities were reduced by 50% to cut down the risk of exposure should an infected person come to work.  Deep cleans were also carried out at the end of each shift which cut down on the time available to sort.  This coincided with mail volumes rising to "greater than xmas" levels because those locked in their homes, unable to go out and shop did it online.
It was, at the height of the lockdown quicker to send parcels from Melbourne to Sydney for sorting than do so here.
Now, this is what was happening here but I would not be surprised if similar is occurring elsewhere.
Now we have been allowed out of our houses things are slowly returning to normal although I suspect some of the "'temporary" cuts in services will never be reversed.

With regards to international post in "normal" times most mail travels in the holds of passenger aircraft rather than in freight planes.  No passenger flights means alternate methods need to be found.
Additional freighters will be flying but there will be a backlog and there will not be enough freighters.
Because of all the delays and backlogs last posting dates for xmas have been much earlier this year than usual.  It's not been fun spending the week telling customers that unless they want to pay express postage rates than their family's presents may not reach them in the UK before xmas.
Add to that the UK Customs and Excise delight in stopping parcels and charging randomly assigned amounts of duty (and non-negotiable handling fees) and you have a lot of unhappy people.

Well, I hate and avoid PE wherever possible, but for a future build/conversion I ordered some PE antenna antlers fpr German WWII radar systems - we'll see if this pays out.

Right on brotha!! That's good to know.  I'm slowly getting there... wee bits of guilt still creep in from time to time but I'm learning that sometimes it's OK to buy something you want and makes you happy.  NOW... spending too much on underwear or oats? NAH!!

In order to assuage my disappointment at the lack of Tamiya Fine Surface Primer in the LHS (or anywhere else in Australia apparently) I returned from my abortive visit with an Academy Fiesler Storch.
It has the additional radial engine for the Morane Saulnier  version.
It may get floats.

I have to learn how to ignore guilt as i've been doing some rare model buying lately... ;D
Beside the 5 jars of 23ml and 2 of 10ml of Tamiya colors i picked up at the LHS yesterday, the latest delivered are these two, the Bell 412 isn't OOP but the 1/48 Comanche is and quite rare for under 50 euros total on ebay...

Also waiting for a Revell 1/48 Apache Longbow and, to celebrate the fact that i'm no longer unemployed, i bought my second Monogram 1/32 Blue Thunder, which, unfortunately wasn't as cheap as the Comanche...

Cool. I've been thinking about picking up one of those, but a little put off due to all the struts and the landing gear looks very fragile. What have they done with the slats? Are they part of the wing or separate pieces?

Used to see full size replicas quite often when I was living in QLD, radial one's also, quite impressive to watch them land, they would touchdown AND stop on the runway keys or vertically hover down if there was some wind.

just been delivered by my postie another eBay win,

1 x 1/72 Italeri Wessex HAS.3.

This is an oler boxing to the one I received recently which incudes marking for an RAF ASR.2  so I shall be checking my refferences about that as it may mean I need to purchase another one of these to build the complete set.

I haven't grokked it in enough detail but according to information I discovered on the interweb it has separate leading edge slats.
