just been delivered by my postie another eBay win,

1 x 1/72 Italeri Wessex HAS.3.

This is an oler boxing to the one I received recently which incudes marking for an RAF ASR.2  so I shall be checking my refferences about that as it may mean I need to purchase another one of these to build the complete set.

Gondor

Sorted out the problem with thr SAR markings in this kit. It is a normal Mk. 3 which ended up going to the RAF's 1 Technical Training  schoolthen onto 2 Technical Training school, they teach airframes and all things to do with aircraft I think, befor ending up in Bournemouth Aviation Museum where it sits in RAF Rescue marking as per the box so I will not be doing that scheme.

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

Well, I  gave in and bought the Academy  C-97 stratofreighter.  Its a big old girl that's for sure.  I  have at least  somewhere to  display it if I  evict the Bristol  superfreighter. Just  need to work out  what  to put it in to store it safely.  Do I  make it land based royal navy, or an RAF transport command aircraft.

It certainly would  yes.  Possible  purchase from the U.S and pressed  into service  during the  Korean war. I will need to stock up on EDSG and sky I  think  ;D

As a last resort you can always hang the big ones from the ceiling.  ;D

Monogram actually provided lugs moulded into the top of the wings and fuselage of their original 1/72 B-52D kit to do exactly that!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

My main concern  is finding a  box big enough  and safe enough to put it in when I  eventually move house. I  have been itching to build my B-47 , but storage is  going to be a problem

Mossie

Airfix 1/32 1914 Dennis Fire Engine, part started, from eBay.

Thinking in advance for the Blue Lights GB.  I've got two builds in mind, one with the fire engine, the second mounting that wonderful wheeled escape ladder on something.  Anyone got any ideas???
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Well, it does not necessarily have to be your body parts...
