As a Christmas present to myself a 1/72 Contrail Convair B-36D Peacemaker. It was a bargain at £45 including P&P. With a heap of leftover parts from the Revell/Monogram RB-36H, this might well turn out to be the transport version.

Opened a Portuguese modelling shop's site and the plan was to buy a pair of Tamiya X-22 jars and also a 0,5 mm drill bit and i have succeeded...

So they just sent along the Su-30 kit as well because they liked you, yes?  ;) ;) ;D ;D

...Plan is actually to depict the Br 695 as it might have entered service: with the original French camouflage in grey/green&bown, with blue roundels w/o yellow border yet, and number codes instead of letters for the individual aircraft. Very "dry", but I think that this should look pretty cool. I also have a Do 215 in the stash, earmarked for similar Swedish service, too.  ;)

AFAIK, the Capronis never flew in SE without the yellow ring on the roundel. Also, the unlicensed P&W engine wasn't really available until -43, i.e when the yellow rings appeared.
All that said - if you assume delivery in 1940, i.e before the occupation of France, and also a very early delivery of engines, maybe even American engines shipped with the P-35:s, then you're good without the rings.

Aaand - this is whiffworld. Maybe the rings come later. :)

Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

Nope, had to be paid for but what matters is that I didn't forget the X-22 and the drill bits...  ;D

Yes, that sums the plan up quite well. The engines could have been procured with/for other types like the P-35, would have maintenance and procurement from just a single source easier. And I opt for the early time fame, as if the delivery from still-free France had successfully happened. But it will take until the model materializes...

While passing the LMS, well, almost passing anyway, I happened upon a Revell Hunter FGA9 Well, you can't have too many of them, can you? So it's now in The Loft.   ;D

And I also picked up a new Xuron cutter, as my old one's pivot is showing signs of wear, it must be all those Mach2 and Eastern Bloc kits I've been building.......

Hasegawa 1/48 F-18C. Hoping and praying it goes together better than Kinetic's

Tamiya 1/24 Lotus Super 7.  The new issue of the great old kit with some PE.  This was one of the first (and still very few) car kits I ever built, back in the 80s. It will be a What-If build...as in "What If I had a nice lottery win?"
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

My WHIF lottery win is a bit more practical- a converted Van Hool double decker.

I'm tempted by the OOB flying zebra scheme.  IIRC there are resin figures available to go with it.

Go for it, it is a historic aircraft and I'd highly recommend watching (or even better: reading) "Serengeti Shall Not Die" by German zoologist Bernhard Grzimek. His son, the cinematographer Michael Grzimek, died on-location during the filming of the documentary when D-ENTE collided with a vulture, with him at the controls. Tragic fate.

It's a very nice kit to build too Fred, I  built  one early this year  and did it in RAF  Germany  plumage.
