Lovely sheet of 1/48 Irish Air Corps decals arrived direct from Max Decals.  ;D

1/48? Yes, his 1/72 scale stuff is out of print, and he doesn't do them in 1/144, but the KMD-11 is a BIG model, and the 1/48 stuff should fit very well.

Expect a slew of IAC models from me in the future, the decals are LOVELY!

If I'd known I'd have passed on to you the remnants of my 1/72 Scale Aircraft Modelling Irish national markings and letters/numbers set.

Speaking of decals, big shout out to OGL for the Loganair Twin Otter decal set - huge thanks Martin.

Doh!  :-\

I've got one of those sheets too, and totally forgot I had it until you mentioned it Dave.  :banghead:

Never mind, those tri-colour 'roundels' look very good on almost anything.

They do, don't they.  One of the many ideas I had for the Ki-61 I'm currently finishing off as a Captured GB 'background build' was for it to be Irish.  I may return to that idea with a different kit - once shows restart and I find said kit in a second-hand rummage box.
Although as I type I think something else I've made a start on as an RAF Jet Provost alternative could just become Irish  ;)

Tamiya Fine Surface Primer is once again available in Australia.
I visited the LHS to get some and while I was there picked these up.  The guy behind the counter said  " but we only just got them in".
So I should wait and let them mature on the shelf before buying?  No, I was only saying to Mrs z during the week that I need to make less death dealing aircraft and more civilian stuff.

Neat! Is your local Metro hobbies and do they have anymore Jetstream's?

Alternatively you could get some of Colin Freightdog's new add-ons for the Dominie, and.....

Ah, you'd be back in the 'death dealing' business again.  ;)

My local is Ultimate Action Toys in Mornington.  I'm not sure how up to date their website stock levels are as I have never shopped online with them.  I just drop in to see what they have on the shelves.
I try to buy as much as possible from them but it can be hard as they don't (and won't) stock Vallejo paint and when I have asked about ordering specific kits for me they have told me that I am better off going to specific online retailers as small stores like themselves don't always get allocated what they ask for by the distributors because they don't move the volume of someone like BNA or Metro.
I was surprised to see these two kits on the shelf as the Airfix distributor seems to have been particularly stingy with kit allocation to them in the past.

Metro Hobbies website says they have at least one Jetstream in stock.

Received today from the Special Hobby Christmas sale Part 1

1 x 1/72 Special Hobby Vickers Type 267 Vildebeest Mk.III which I have had a slight hankering for due to how odd it seams to me.

Included but not ordered was a CMK saw blade

H1000 Ultra Smooth and Extra Smooth saw

I don't have a saw for this yet, but as I have just ordered one as part of their current sale it will not go to waste.

I popped into Hannants at Colindale today to pick up my order. There was a bit of confusion as it hadn't actually arrived from Lowestoft but they had one on the shelf listed at a much higher price. We agreed that I would take that one home for the price I'd been quoted and when it arrives they would put the kit I ordered on the shelf!

1/72 AZ Models AH-1G Cobra 'joypack' - 3 sets of plastic without decals.

Of course you can't visit a model shop and only leave with what you ordered  ;D  so I brought home another kit that looked lonely on the shelf, the 1/72 Avis RFB Fantrainer 400.

Someone here (Martin?) did one in RAF colours? It was meant for the Luftwaffe but they chose not to, so that's an easy Whiff using Alpha Jet markings.
