Building the fuselage front and rear. You can see the plasticard that forms the skeleton, plus a bunch of sprue cutoffs to fill the space between the ribs. Next step is to apply putty on top of this to get a smooth skin.

(2 images should be visible here, if they aren't let me know)

That's going to need a LOT of PSR!  :o

Gondor

That's going to need a LOT of Nose Weight  :o

Puttying on the nose may need to be done with lead ... or gold. :o

Rheged

I've had a look in the stash, and I regret that the osmium billet that I thought I could pass on to you has been used by Rheged minor to nose-weight a tricycle undercarriage Wellington.

those photos were from a while ago, in the meantime the fuselage has been put together.
The middle section is the PVC billet as seen on page 1. I've hollowed it out, remaining wall thickness is about 4 mm - any thinner and it becomes difficult to hold in the lathe as the PVC deforms.

I used normal modelling glue (UHU Plast), there's polystyrene on one end of the joint. Then I used two-part epoxy filler to (MagicSculp) to fill the gaps.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

What a job! I hope the landing gear can support the weight of all that plastic and putty.
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.
