Maybe a Canadian BAe-146 AEW/AWACS with either an E-2C saucer or Swedish-type AEW pod above the fuselage.

Or a Canadian BAe-146 gunship w/ 2x 40mm Bofors & 2x 30mm GAU-8's.

 Bryan

Miscellany (that effects modeling):
My son & daughter.
School - finishing my degree

Exactly how I've done my carrier based 146 AEW bird.

Pictures coming soon, I promise

Never-ending-store-eeeeee, la la la, la la la, na na na......

Back at 'er ! I wanted to start some Harriers, but alas, I'm sticking to my plan of finishing all the half-builts. Got the Backfire all done ( awitaing pics ) the VC-10 ( same ) and the Stirling ( story-may get some done with a few more beers consumption ).

Here are the doors I made from an old paint tube. Handy stuff !

Love the yellow one Todd   This is one model I'm just waiting for some manufacturer to do in 1/72 scale.  Welsh Models has had a mutli-media one 'in-the-works' for quite a few years but doesn't seem to be on the horizon.

Nice one!

I've always had a soft spot for the 146/RJ since we used to make them at Woodford where I work. If anyone fancies an interesting (and easy) version, try to find some pics of the ARA (Atmospheric Research Aircraft) that replaced the "Snoopy" C-130. It was known as the "Scrapheap Challenge" around the factory because the conversion was done outside the normal supply chain (which was winding down due to the imminent programme end) and the ARA guys were always cadging and adapting bits. As "the nuts and bolts guy", I got sick of the the sight of them!

Personally, I kept standing on the shop floor, looking at them and thinking about an equivalent of the An-72P border patrol version: cannon pod on one side, off-set FLIR turret faired into a new forward cargo door, SeaSpray in the nose and Sea Skuas on wing pylons.....

Wow...that's a sexy looking bird, Weaver ! It does look rather tough with the extra bits dangling....and I have to agree, she'd look superb with your aforementioned mods !

A little more work done on mine. As you can see, she's on the ground being loaded.....

Brave man! That's quite a project you've got going on.

I really like your work on the engines, especially the intake edges! Completely pro-style, Cap'n!
