Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

OK, calling this done as I've run out of time, pretty much. Some light weathering required and a few touch ups but close enough I hope.

The last image shows the 2 post-war generations of ASR/SAR units flow by the Royal Scots Navy from their dispersed airfields.

Petetiong the mods for an allowance? Tell them it was done before the deadline, but you just didn't get the pictures taken.

Looks great, BTW!  I love it.

What time period was the Viking in service at Stornoway?

I ask because JayBee was a Controller up there and he may have seen and controlled them.  ;D

Sorry Kit, Official Secrets Act and all that stuff, my lips are necessarily sealed.
Alle kunst ist umsunst wenn ein engel auf das zundloch brunzt!!

Sic biscuitus disintegratum!

Cats are not real.
They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Any aircraft can be improved by giving it a SHARKMOUTH!

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Depends on the particular timeline ;)
If it follows my Gannet (and others) and the 1920s independence time line, then I'd say from around mid 1990s......
If Scotland had voted yes in 2014, they could have been delivered in 2016 ;)
