The issue with the exhausts has been resolved by raiding the spares box, and digging out some F-111 nozzles.

It's around TSR2 size. 

I'm beginning to wish I'd taken a bit more time and opened up one of the missile bays.

It's that massive wing that makes her look so big I think ? Mind you being as my favourite period for aircraft is probably 1935 to 1945 most 50's fighters/interceptors look huge

Yer can't go wrong with an Arrow.  Looks great, I've a 1/72 first mould on the go, RAF too.  Was thinking 23 Sqn.

It's more comparable with the Fairey Delta III Chris.

The  type  559 is as big fuselage wise, I  dare say  one  with a big set of Delta wings  would  look the part.

Because of the new wheel bays, I've had to modify the kit undercarriage to fit.
The nose leg got a V shaped top end, as on the original, and a hydraulic strut, as well as having the wheel axle narrowed to more realistic dimensions. Resin Lightning nose wheels were fitted. Also, the cylindrical thing was moved offset the centreline. It's not exactly accurate, but it's better than it was.  I just need to add the landing lights.

The main legs were stripped of ancillary struts as the kit has them completely wrong.  The leg was drilled and pinned then fitted, and the first strut refitted in the right place. The other strut was replaced with a hydraulic actuator from the spares box.  I just need to add the resin Lightning main wheels, slightly further apart than the kit ones, as they are a bit bigger...

Yea. If I take this to shows (when they start back up), i will have to make a jig for it to sit in while in the box, or it'll snap off.

And, of course, how spindly that undercarriage is! I'd be nervous of it collapsing in a stiff breeze, let alone taking the impact of take-off & landing forces!
