Not as much progress on this as I would've liked, but I've started adding some highlights and shadows. And the propeller. I need to finish the outline though - add a windscreen, tailplanes, other bits & pieces.

This might not look much different from the last pic from yesterday, but there's been quite a lot of work in fine-tuning the highlights and shadows, adding things that aren't immediately visible, but which subtly add volume to the illustration. I decided it was looking a bit too monochrome for a 1930s design - it was more like a modern low-viz scheme - so I've redone the propeller as polished aluminium, and added a blue fin - I'm thinking that each squadron would have a different coloured fin for identification purposes. Also did a test export onto the paper texture that I use for the final artwork to check for colour or tone shifts on the textured background.

Can see some of the extra light & shade. Changes look good!

Thanks Guy - there's still always more to do!

Yet more slow progress - highlights, shadows. Added the tailplane...

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Generally a good idea, yes.  ;D ;D ;) ;)

Except on this site, Kit ^_^

I'm imagining the size of the mechanical 'computer' to give it some sort of stability without the tailplane.......  ;D ;)

I think this is nearly finished. A bit difficult to push it on, I'm working from home now (I'm in Paris - the whole country is locked down; you need a written attestation to go out to the shops etc.).

How do you go out to get it in the first place?  :-\
