Working with the fiddly bits right now. I'm going to place two or four Maverick missiles on top of the wings to keep them out of the spray. Need to find two more Maverick launch rails. Sidewinders and ECM pods out on the wing tips. Also some wing tip floats. Then landing gear doors all around.

Finished upswept winglets on the wing tips to hold Sidewinders or ECM pods. Working on the floats.

Here are some pics showing the latest progress.
The winglets were cut from the fuselage left over from another A-10 kit.

The wing floats are from 1/48th minigun pods, parts of the Skyhawk's tail and Aves epoxie putty.

I'm really going to have to choose a paint scheme soon!

Good to see the progress. Really neat work, especially on the winglets

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

The winglets were actually pretty simple once I found an object with the right shape. Just a matter of cutting and sanding to shape. Now I need a couple of Sidewinder launch rails. I'll double check the F-16 kits I have.

I've been agonizing over a paint scheme for this build and it finally came to me. How about a Russian/Soviet scheme with lots of red stars? Story could be its working with the eckronoplanes in the Black Sea and Caspian Sea areas. I have a MiG 21 decal sheet that should work well and an SU-22 that might provide some missiles. I'll have to look into the actual colors used by the Soviet/Russian navy or just wing it.

Soviet sounds good, maybe a scheme like the Yak-38 used?

There are Be-200s going into Russian Navy service painted a very dark grey top and sides with a blue undersides with red wingtips.
