It was the colour scheme on a pic Joe had posted on the Project Cancelled SIG FB page, so decided to go that route. The first thing a Belvedere needs is new engines. Here are the happy little exhaust ports in various stages of realization.....Yay ! We're being built ! Hey, wait a minute....

Cheers guys.

Still plugging away at this one. I'm hoping to get her done before I take off for Newfoundland next Wednesday. If my travel and training is still approved by then !

Interesting. Looking like a CH-46 rear end. Nice.

In the right auction room that work area could be worth a fortune Ratty  ;D

Catalogue it as Neo-surealism-cubistic-Dadaism perhaps  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I have one in the stash, unfortunately the front clear bits are identical, can't remember if they're both port or both starboard. If I can't get a replacement it will need a complete redesign of the nose.  :banghead:

Fore sure ! That's the idea. Hard to argue the point that the Boeing/ Vertol design was spot on. Just youtube a video or two ;-). I had originally wanted to keep the 'wings' or whatever that was at the back, but have since cut those mounts off.

IIRC, I've read somewhere there is an aftermarket replacement for the canopy.

Whirlybird does a whole upgrade for the kit, which includes a canopy, so they may sell just the canopy?

The whole upgrade costs a FORTUNE though...............
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Still plugging away at this one. I really don't know why I can't keep focused on one build ! Just need to sort out a couple of botched decals, add a pitot tube and a few details, maybe a wee bit of weathering and then take some glamour shots ( glamor for my red neck friends ;-) )

Hope to post pics this aft. I'll add finished or completed to the thread title. See you then !
