So I've started hacking at this, conversion to a radial engine makes the chin radiator redundant so it's been carved off.
Oil cooler may be enlarged a bit to compensate for what might be a higher running temperature. I guess next will be to
saw off the nose. But delicately, because it's probably going to be attached to something else.

Removing the chin radiator is improving aesthetically but replacing the inline engine by a radial goes in the opposite direction. Ahem, at that time the main goal was not aesthetics, you are right... ;)

You could glaze that area where the radiator was so as to give the crew a downward view ?

And as it's a bomber, the bomb aimer would have a much better view too.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

To do that the poor chap would have to crawl on his belly between the cockpit floor and the bottom of the fuselage. Tight squeeze.

The Wooksta!

IIRC there's a sliding section underneath the Battle that covers the bomb aimers window.

The PZL.23 Karas had a similar arrangement for a bomb aimer, even though the gondola was positioned further back and probably easier to access.

Not the best photo, but this is the Hendon Battle. Hatch underneath for the bomb aimer.  Also, a rear firing Lewis gun

When did that ever stop those in charge of RAF procurement ? After all the bomb aimer was only ever likely to be an enlisted man  ;)

This conversion is going to be... interesting. From the graceful outline of a RR Merlin cowling to the decidedly unattractive nose swiped from a Vickers Wellesley. On the front, hanging uncomfortably like an afterthought, will be a Bristol Pegasus XX

Try the Centaurus cowling section from the Matchbox Tempest.  May be a better fit as the fuselage cross sections are similar.

As my mother would have said, "Do you think I'm made of money?"  ;D This one's already hacked up and ready to go, just need to see the bank manager about financing for the amount of putty it will probably need.
