Well, since I built the B-24... B-25 comes next, right? :)

The box is smaller than I thought.

Gimme them old-timey sprues any time! They really do have a beauty that the newer, highly engineered kits can't match.

A quick tape job to figure out which way the wings go on. They have a weird downward swoop so I thought I had them on backwards.

Some panel line scribing needed to be done. I hate raised panel lines...

I drilled some holes in the wing to feed the wires through to the fuselage.

Engines drilled out and replaced, motors mounted.

Checking the wiring for power... red light on!

Engines seated, but I'll wait to put them in to give the CA glue time to off-gas first.

A bit of nose remodelling to make it an "H" and a tiny bit of scratchbuilt cockpit.

Thanks!

It shouldn't be a "downward swoop", they're gull-wings & rise up a bit to the engines, then should sit pretty well flat out from there.

Just for varieties sake you could them on upside down and left to right. Then it'd look like a North American twin engined Stuka.  ;D

Noting your "love affair" with 1/144 scale I note that there is a company soon to bring out a range of 1/144 armour, UStar is their name.

I just hope they are not doing individual track links

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

For some reason, I seem to be getting bad at updating my build projects here.  Just laziness to upload and link the photos I guess.  So, sorry for the image dump.

First up, Let's test the props...

...and YES! We have spin!

This is an old kit, so putty and sanding was always going to be needed.

Lots of sanding, and still a bit more needed I think.

Pilots in place... ready for takeoff!

First coat of aluminium on.

Some sky blue accents.  Accidentally broke the tail off, but that can be fixed easily enough.

Red tail painted.

Decals and propellers on. Can you tell that the left side fuselage marking is different than all the others? Stupid thumb...

Just a few touch ups, a radio wire to string and a base to finish... but this one's in the books.

And now... for the final curtain call... :)

Thanks!

Fantastic.  It's like a 3d cartoon.

Is that a Buccaneer in the Hun box in the first two pics?

Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

I see that you have obtained an extra large USB plug to go with your extra large paint pots.

You should hear the hum of electricity it makes when I plug it in. :)

Thanks for the feedback guys, it's much appreciated.

Yep.  I'd forgotten about that one.  Good rescue Mr Tracey.
