Captain Canada

Hey !

Here's the gang so far, two STAs, that's the one Lancer sent me that I'm doing all the doors open on, and the 146-200.

The Concorde will be all white with the lightning stripe, as an AAR/Transport.

The 111 will be the same, only with the silver bottom and red wingtips. After I'm done.

Just noticed that I never finished my entence !

After I'm done photographing the 111 in Transport Command colours, circa the early 80's, I'm going to redo the paint as a drone, for testing the 'cruise airliner' when all-out war begins.

Aw, now you're just showin' off!!!    ^_^

Don't know how you can work so quick but the group sure looks good so far.

Time for more shelves!

Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Great project Captain
Though, it is funny to classify a military Concorde as the symbol of the future (RCAF 2012) while Historians & JMNs classified it as a symbol of past mistakes... like the TSR2. What-if we Concorde & TSR2 (and T-tail, twin-boom, canard) lovers were right somehow? Anyway, let us dream...

Thats one cool looking line up you got there Todd

Only thing is that you're missing long range strategic airlift types.  In the absence of any C-17 kits can I suggest you equip the RCAF with Il-76s?  Trumpeter make a nice one in 1/144    I know you've got the A310, 340 & 380 which I all assume will be part of the RCAF, but they lack short/rough field capability and they also need specialised equipment to get the cargo out the side door.  No such problem with rear loaders!

You should post a full Order of Battle - Squadron; Aircraft type; number of planes; base; role.  I'd be very interested to see that.

Now you've made a good start on this, don't get distracted and start some other projects (this one is too cool).  Keep at it,  thats an order Pomerleau!

Oh, one more thing, are there enough people in Canada for all these planes to carry?  :P

Nice word, Nev :D
Well, it is not worse nor better: while we have crowdy short-distance trains and planes, here in Europe, Canada USA Australia have long-distance cost-to-cost airliners, and flying doctors. That is just another world. :)

So are you gunna post an order of battle for us?

Please?

And you should pick up the Revell An-124 when it comes out, perfect for carrying Revell 1/144 Chinooks don't ya think?

Ya know it just dawned on me that Toad Man is gonna spend more on his RCAF that the Canadian government will on the real thing!!! ^_^
Getting back into modeling

Captain Canada

Hey, cut me some slack ! I actually had to work today !

Wierd........

The order-of-battle will be a little hard to do, Nev. It'll take some beer, and some thought !  There's a little taste of it on my posts of the colour profiles, too.

My RCArmy squadrons will be in the 200 range, my RCAF in the 400 ( but I may have to overlap and 'steal' some RAAF numbers, as 50 won't be enough ! ) and my RCN will be in the 800s. The RCMarines will probably be 800s as well.

And I'm definately going to incl. both Candids and Condors in my squadrons. But I think I can get some help in the numbers by using the Air Canada system.

Anyway, I'll get back to you when I finally get it all sorted out !

Cheers
