Mossie

Picked 9, somehow managed to get the current top 3.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Forgot to thank Chris for his work, sorry bud ---

Polled ! Really hard work, but nowhere near the effort putting up the poll! Thanks for the work!
Only question: the 2 GB:

The Earlier Jets GB. Suppose the jet turbine had gone into production in 1920 or 1930 ?

The Chicken or Egg GB. (The jet turbine was put into production while the bi-plane still ruled etc)

aren't more or less the same?

The way I see it is this.

While The Early Jets focusses specifically on the question "what if the jet turbine had gone into production in 1920 or 1930?" The Chicken or Egg is more wide ranging and postulates any number of technologies being developed ealier than actually happened.  Chris chose the jet turbine and the biplane as an example (possibly because it was still in his mind as he had just written The Early Jets description) but could equally have used swing wings came before the monoplane or the torpedo before the ironclad.

While similar they are different in scope.  Chicken or Egg is not specifically an Aircraft GB (remember, some of us do like to build something else occasionally).

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

OK, thanks.
Mine wasn't a critic, just wanted to understand.

A swing-wing biplane?  :o

Yes, I rather like that idea, but all that rigging.................  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

And it wasn't taken as one sir

Fred (Zenrat) has basically answered it. I did ponder it for a fair while as my initial thoughts were similar to yours, but then I came around to seeing them as separate GB's.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I'm wondering whether to combine the Small Nations, S America and Africa suggestions into one for the second round of voting ?

As far as I'm concerned, this is a logical and sensible suggestion

It would work rather well. I did think that when I saw the three options together.

loupgarou

Yes, seems a good suggestion, and would attract more builds than a single continent.

That makes sense. Even that ones that aren't that small still have a 'small nation' ethos and vibe to them.
