Another "only for parts" project to In the Navy/Quarantine GB?

My aim: To convert a Revell HMS KGV (1/570) into HMS Temeraire (with some creativity) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lion-class_battleship. New turrets with 3 16 in. guns come from a vile USS Missouri at 1/535; but turrets are not so bad.

Will die without understanding this world.

First, hull is properly closed, deck flattened and the rings of first and last turrets are moved 1 cm approx each to the center, because they are now bigger turrets.

I know it is already done, but I want to show you how to draw a proper waterline even if bow is raised.

I admit that it does not look very clean, but wait, in whiffery anything can be fixed... ;D :o

Agreed!  A carefully crafted backstory can cover ANY eventuality.

See my second motto :-

'The backstory can always be modified to suit the model'
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Are you going to do a late-20th Century diorama version of the Turner painting

The Fighting Temeraire, tugged to her last berth to be broken up, 1838.

Maybe titled: "The Fighting Temeraire, tugged to her last berth to be broken up, 1983."

Ri-ight, so it looks like either ysi hasn't paid his Photobucket ransom, either, or there's something that's fallen over at Photobucket's end, 'coz all the  images linked from them seem to have their graffiti slapped all over them.

Like where this one's going, mate!

I like the sky in this painting.  It looks oppressive.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Surprisingly a very neat cut at first attempt . ;)

Lets close hull with waterline plate. Curing with adequate weight. ;D ;D

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Quite inspiring for a diorama.
