Well this had going to be my meagre offering for the 'Out of Retirement' GB, but as they say, time and opportunity wait for no man (well not this one at least!)
Basically an excuse to get a Gazelle in the current black and yellow training scheme

With the creation of the Defence Helicopter Flying School (DHFS) in 1997 the RAF and FAA Gazelle HT.2 and HT.3 aircraft were retired.
However within the first few months of operation the DHFS's Squirrel HT.1 aircraft were found to have serious maintenance issues and to ensure continuity of the training programme some of the (very) recently retired Gazelle's were pulled out of storage, quickly repainted in the 'modern' black and yellow training scheme, and re-continued with their previous role until correctly quality controlled replacement Squirrels became available

Oh to be whiffing again :-(

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I like that.

I can see them fluttering around over Shawbury in my mind's eye.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Decades ago, I built such a Gazelle (Heller 1/50 scale ?), but without painting the canopy frames so perfectly, congratulations!
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Hmmm, black helicopters...
;)
Looks good.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Yeah that's pretty - nice idea and well executed.
