It's certainly an unusual post apocalyptic vehicle . The model is excellent and looking very much like the movie prop.

I wonder what happened to it?

There's very little info on the web , there was a making of book published and I seen grabs on some pages but nothing of substance the atoll scenes were shot in Hawaii so I imagine what ever was left over remained there

Maybe their are some big rigs on Hawaii that have parts from it in them from the truck or at least they did back in the 90s

Primer stage and test fitting of parts , some more fine details to be added , pre painting of some parts before assembly but all in all I'm happy how this is turning out

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I wasn't going to do this but may as well get it right, bought the nations stock of teeny tiny chains
There should be lots of swearing so I'll just do a row per night
Otherwise I have base coated the barge in Dulux Rust aerosol and done black shade coats on the rest

You know you had to. The AMS voices in your head told you to  ;D
The first pass of chains looks great and worth the effort. Of course how much will be hidden by the water may define how many you actually have to do.

This is brilliant. Great attention to detail!

Back into it.....  had a worrying start to the year as the landlord sold my house but luck has it I can stay for now , I have already had to move once since starting this build but now I feel safe to return to the man cave
I finished doing the chain work on the paddle wheel tonight so now can return to pre painting before assembly, the last construction bit will be hooking up the drive belt from the truck axle to the paddle wheel but this will happen very late in the process and the model will have to be mostly painted before I glue the major components together
