Superb work on that rusty finish

Love the name   ;D

In the film the mother ship is in fact the Exon Valdez, but you only get that right at the end when she is sinking and the stern comes up, in true Titanic fashion, and shows the name.

A fantastic model.
However I have one question how was the real thing meant to steer?

Evidently paddle boats have rudders under the hull , in the movie the barge does not appear to be able to rotate its quad cannon and the Mariner pulls the boat off course to lay fire down on the fuel barge with his boat via a harpoon to the hull when its strafing the fron door to the Atoll, from screen grabs it looks like the paddle wheel could actually spin
The barge may have had hidden motors it looks like it could have been a twin hulled barge the photos I had were just not good enough to work out. you can also see 2 generators on the deck under the truck to power the special effects

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes... everything works.
Masterpiece

If the drum at the back was split into two halves then because there is a drive from each truck wheel one or the other could be slowed by using the truck rear brake on that side.
Not sure how much of a turning effect that would give though.

Thanks for all the nice comments , the model is getting a ton of likes on Facebook and Redditt but this comment is the best

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Awesome message from Reddit today , very tempting !

You can always build another one...
I'd rather part with it for a ridiculous sum of money lol , won't be modelling for a while now got cataracts in both eyes

I would find the former difficult to do, I like my builds too much!

Well, the latter's a bugger! :-\

Are the cataracts operable (laser/traditional)?
