QuoteFinally have a purpose for my County class DDG, of which Chile acquired more than one.  Now, do I do an alternate version of the original, or an alternate future for the current version?

Oh Definately a modded version with the enlarged Hanger and flight deck. For a future version an Oto Malera 127mm guns FWD with Harpoon type missiles relocated to the aft end of the fwd superstructure and possibly the new stealthier funnels and Structures.

You could have Brazilian Crusaders from the San Paulo (ex Foch) you could have Clemenceau replacing the 25th De Mayo with Sea Jags in bith Fighter and ant-shipping role and turbo Trackers.

Chillean Hermes with Sea Harriers FA-11 based on the GR-5 airframe. hawker P1121 Hurricane II replaceing the Hunters, Lightnings as Interceptors. Belize Defence Force Hawk 100 & 200's or Harrier GR-3 & Sea Harrier. Bolivian Gnats, Peruvian Su-24 Fencers of Tu-16 badgers. Brazillian Atlantics or maybe Argentinan to replace the Neptunes.

Brazilain Vulcan !!! :D

Captain Canada

What was that country that used to be a protectorate of canada ? St. Lucia ?

Question; Are civilian aircraft okay? South American military decals are hard to come by, but a civilian paint scheme could be absolutely anything. I've already got one in mind.

If they are, it'd be a temptation to build a cargo version of the B-2 in the markings of Aerotransportes Medellin' (like a Canadian roundel, but with a marijuna leaf instead of a maple leaf).

If the Ta-152 is "passe", then I'll go retro!

Argentinian/Chilean/Bolivian Fokker D.VII

Try here for Latin American decals.  They are good quality decals.

That's got my vote

Hmm, thinking of an idea. To Hannants!

Davey B

...and then to Barnsley to see if I can get a different kit in the sale

Mike Wren

what about the Brazillian & Mexican squadrons who operated alongside the USAAF in WWII?

but instead of just P-47s what about A-20s, B-25 & B-26s in Brazillian markings in Italy? Mexican B-17s or B-24s in the Philippines?

then you can continue the theme into Korea, lots of US-supplied aircraft with colourful South American markings...  :D

nev

Well, if someone has those Brazilian 1st fighter group decals in 1/72 as worn by their P-47s, I have a very, very good home for them to go to (not saying what my idea is though.....yet)

I've got the FCM sheet with them on Nev but will be using it myself, but the sheet has a couple of options so did you want the ones for an OD a/c or a natural metal one?

whichever one you do I'll use the other for one of my ideas...  ;)
