Quick question...
How whacked out can an airplane be? I'm thinking Alvis whacked out.

And suddenly I have a reason. (low chuckel turning into monstorous evil laugh)  er... just hypothetically of course, er umm.

Getting back into modeling

Radish

But the time scale for you guys is pretty short remember. Only about 4 months.
Me......can build about 8 in that time (minimum) but will settle for just an odd entry.
Of course, it's not mentioned yet!

And the South Americans as Allies in an extended WW2 is good Mike.

QuoteFinally have a purpose for my County class DDG, of which Chile acquired more than one.  Now, do I do an alternate version of the original, or an alternate future for the current version?

Oh Definately a modded version with the enlarged Hanger and flight deck. For a future version an Oto Malera 127mm guns FWD with Harpoon type missiles relocated to the aft end of the fwd superstructure and possibly the new stealthier funnels and Structures.
Hey Thorvic, thanks for the ideas!

Yah, I think so. Fortunately I have the Skywave E-4 set in hand. I'll see how it all goes together.

The Sea Slug launcher is a solid lump of white metal, so I've planned to do the helicopter deck. The other possibility was a Sea Dart aft, but helos will look better.

I'd love to do an Argentine ex-Clemenceau, but I don't...  oh, wait, in the closet, there's a... ^_^ Hmm. I'll need some links to Argentine warship and naval aircraft photos.  ;)

Four months? Well, I'll be done with the Japanese CVDN in a week or so, so I think I can do this.

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

I've got the FCM sheet with them on Nev but will be using it myself, but the sheet has a couple of options so did you want the ones for an OD a/c or a natural metal one?

whichever one you do I'll use the other for one of my ideas...  ;)
OD or NMF......hmmmmmmmmmm

Depends on what you've got left I guess.  Roundels?  Squadron Markings?  Nose Art?

Leigh

I have two sets of Chilean decals from the plastyk Hunter (old Frog i think) there's not much to them and they may be a bit dodgy quality wise but if anyone wants them just let me know.

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Leigh's Models

hammer

Hello everyone! I´ve just registered to this phenomenal forum! Where were you all during all my life? : ) I feel I´m finally back home! LOL

I´m from Brazil and I´d like to invite you to my website´s "walkarounds" and "articles" sections. We are in the process of throughly documenting all Brazilian Military aircraft.

www.alide.com.br

Brazil is in the midst of selecting it´s new main fighter plane, substituting the veteran veteran Mirage IIIE (localy referred as the F-103E), the folowing models are sluging it out:

1) Mirage 2000-5 Mk2 derivative 2000BR
2) Sukhoi Su-35
3) SAAB JAS -39 Gripen
4) MiG 29-SMS
recently there wa a competition in Brasilia where hypotetical models of these aircraft were shown in Brazilian Airforce colours

I had a Su-27 model buit because there where no Su-35 models available here at the time. : ( The Sukhoi looked awsome in a USAF-style SEA camouflage currently used for the F-5E in Santa Cruz Air Base near Rio.

Recently I had a Su-34 buit withe the new "green/DkGray" standard Brazilian Airforce fighter camouflage. The decals represent an aircraft from the 1st Sdrn of thr 7th Aviation Group, "Orungan" currently operating thr P-95 MP derivative of the the Bandeirante light transport

OH NO, A RINGER!  :P

Ah what the heck, welcome aboard Felipe! I believe you are our first member from anywhere in South America. I guess you plan on winning this little competition?

Thanks! : ) (I wonder... what may a "ringer" be... ; )  Brazil is ripe with Whatif aircraft possibilities. The Brazilian São Paulo AircraftCarrier is the ex FN Foch and lacks a reasonable air complement. Rafales, F-18A/C/E, MiG29K, Super Etandart, Su-33, S-3B Viking (even an Erieye radar platform!) and/or A-6E could be it...

On the Airforce side there´s my favourite "What If" subject, a "twin" version of the indigenous A-29 Super Tucano, with or withot floats for operation in the Amazon Jungle... Or a KC-767 to substitute out KC-137s (707)

Many many possibilities!

The twin tucano concept... ; )
