Well, point 1: HELLO!

Point 2: Sod, I had the Viking/Erieye idea for the AEW on the Royal Navy's CVF!

Point 3: Love the twin Tucano!

Well, let's say that your soccer game among friends is getting a little competetive because a local bar has promised the winning team a free dinner. One of your team members just happens to know a professional player who is maybe not well known enough to be easily recognised. This professional also owes your player a favour. So, he shows up and plays for your team to help you win.

That is a 'ringer'!

Hi Felipe

Welcome aboard, i hope you know that Tophe will now go wild with happiness after seeing the Twin Tucano, as he loves Twin booms and Zwillings.

As for the AEW Viking, Lockheed did design one in the 70's as an alternative to the Hawkeye for use on the smaller US carriers, but once the Essex class were de-commisioned and the smaller carrier designs intended to replace them were cancelled it never got built. This used a Triangular shaped reciever rather than a dish mounted above the wing/Fuselage join  (i think).

BTW EMB 135 and 145 aircraft are available in 1/72 scale (Resin/Vacform) from Welshmodels. In case you were interested.

Hi, Phillipe.

Oh no. No no no no no. Please don't...

I have the Heller Foch, and will be converting it in the Sao Paulo. The real one. Don't make me go what-if on this model, too...

Great ideas, though!  B) Brasil might need a new carrier aircraft, though the A-4s look to have plenty of life in them.

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Start painting my first entry tomorrow on my day off, and it should be finished by the weekend, complete with text/base, etc..
Got the camo sorted in my mind, but haven't finally decided on final fiddly bits/markings, although it looks as if it might be Nicaraguan, fighting against the nasty guys.
:P
Got the second one lined up too.....it'll be bigger than the first!
No.1 is single-engined.....number 2 is twin-engined.
Shall I continue the pattern for the other entries?

Dan Hagerdorn said he saw an F-51D in a hanger in full Sandinastran markings.
That'd be nice, fully loaded of course.

JHM has already done a Sandinistran Macchi T-tail.

Go MiG-21....great!

All 1/48th.
One is almost done, 2 are cut out.
Busy building for the next 8 weeks or so.

I'm now considering turing the Testors Me 163 into an Argentinean bird...

Hey, that G-91 sounds cool.
Same camo as their glorious FG-1D Corsairs?

I've "re-scheduled" my Tigercat as Argentinian Navy as I've just found some decals that'll be useful.

Also thinking of a couple of "Big-Tail" '190Ds one Japanese, the other.....Argentinian?

If Argentina was "Axis orientated", would it's natural rivalry with Chile lead to Chile being "Allied orientated"?

Chilean......P-40s, P-38s, P-47s, P-51s, F-86s(in Korea?), F-100Ds in Vietnam??
Just a thought.

Mexican A-4's painted up in the overall dark olive; just like their T-33's.  Or on the Aztec Decals Latin T-33's sheet there was a cool three-color camo scheme they experimented with.   B)   Or a green & grey tropical scheme w/ lt. grey undersides based in the Yucatan.  Or for a maritime attack mission, use a variation of the WWII USN tri-color scheme (dk. sea blue & intermediate blue-grey on the top & sides with lt. grey undersides.)

Salvadoran G.91's...  Overall (very weathered) lt. grey.  Or a wrap-around SEA scheme or a wrap-around Euro I scheme.

Hawker Hunters, Aero L-39/59's, Aeromacchi MB.326's, Su-17/22's, Su-25's, MiG-23/27's, MiG-17's, F-8 Crusaders, A-7 Corsair's, Dassault Mirage 5's or Mirage F.1's, Harrier GR.3's, Douglas A-1 Skyraiders, NA F-100's, SEPECAT Jaguar's and IAI Kfir's would all be great for any of these Central American/Caribbean countries.

I just love the sound of that El Salvadoran "Gina" in wraparound "European One" or even the Lizard scheme used on such A-37Bs of Uruguay, etc., All weathered, faded , dirty and chipped. FANTASTIC.
Easy with minimal markings too. G-91R-3 or R-4? Weren't the USArmy having R-4s with 4 x 0.5" Colts? Keep them for ground attack, or add Sidewinders under the outboard pylons?
Mmmmmm??

I reckon the US Army would have had the very Dark Olive Drab used on helicopters, fading to a light khaki in strong sunlight? Rain streaks, filth, chippiong, etc.??? Sounds good?
Any ident markings? Yellow was used a lot by the El Salvadorans (as on their FG-1Ds and Mustangs), but Argentina found the yellow was too bright (isn't that the point?) so repainted the yellow on their Falklands War aircraft with light sky blue.
I've a few 1/48th G-91s too from Occidental/Heller, that, let's face it, are something of a disappointment. I've started one (as a CF-91R Gerbil for the RCAF of course), but a Latin American one would be nice.
Not El Salvador, that's your idea, but Uruguay? Looking at some of their old aircraft, A-37s, T-6s etc., they look really filthy, faded and old. GREAT!
