Hey, in a Soccer War/Footbal War scenario, would the kill markings be little round footballs?

They didn't do it that way...However here you have an image on how they really did it (plus a whole menu of "eye-candy" or "idea fodder" for What-if types).  Major Soto is reportedly the las person to shoot down a Mustang in air-to-air combat (in 1969!  Sounds like some kind of bar bet is possible....) Those scheme's look ad-libed to me!  I looks like in reality there was minimal-to-no instruction on how to paint the camo on the planes for the ground crews.  Besides the facts that it's what-if and your model  ;) , there's nothing in reality to contradict some pretty unusual camo schemes & very weathered paint!  If you want a little more variety a wrap-around Euro-1 or SEA scheme would also work well in a tropical environment.

That said, I think for El Salvador a very weathered overall lt. grey or very weathered overall dk. olive green/brown scheme would look very nice.  As for armament, here's what I'd use M117 bombs, Zuni or Hydra rockets, early model Sidewinders, napalm bombs and Mk.81/Mk.82 LDGP (plain or Snake-eye with or without daisy-cutter fuses.)  Basically, the G.91's fly lt. ground-attack/COIN/CAS missions and air-to-air armament is limited to the 4x .50 cal MG's and the early Sidewinders.

What If? Central America was part of Texas's colonial empire?
What national markings/aircraft then?

What if? Central America/West Indies/Carribean region all pert of the Confederated United States of America?

What If?.....great words! Great potential.

Just remembered I made a C-47 in civil markings, of AERO YUCATAN, or something like that....a Mexican "feeder" airline. Total fabrication, but no one's "spotted" it yet alongside the more conventional Israeli, Columbian, Air Atlantique and BlackHawk examples.

BUT.....imagine if South America went really "hi-tech"???
OK, some, like Venezuela and soon Chile have/will have F-16s, and many fly updated Mirages while Peru has MiG-29s, Mirage 2000, etc..

So......

El Salvador......MiG-29 and Su-25, with Su-34 for long range strike.
Honduras......F-22 with F-15Es for strike, and F-35 for short range operations.
Bolivia.....F-16E/Fs, with B-2 Spirits for long-range operations.
Cuba....Typhoon fighter with Tornado strike fighter bombers.
Uruguay......Typhoon fighters, f-16E/Fs as fighter-bombers and B-1s/B-2s mixed force Bomber "Force de Frappe".

Eh???

Now come on, a B-2 Spirit in Uruguan markings would be eyecatching?? Especially in a multigray wraparound colour scheme??

My whif Texas is a large North/Central American power.  It has grown across the continent to California & Baja California, it includes the northern third & south fifth of present day Mexico.  Additionally, Guatamala, Belize, Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua are all parts of Texas.  Texas also has Caribbean, Pacific/Indian Ocean and African territories.  The rump Mexico that is left is under treaty agreements to de-miltarize & have only minimal internal security/police forces, no navy and no armed aircraft.

Lots of territory with room for lots of planes & ships!   :D

What about BELIZE becoming independent, growing in status and power after vast quantities of uranium and oil are found? Expanding too into the mainland with increased build up of a Belize Self Defence Force.

Either: Typhoons, Tornadoes and Sea Venoms(AH-1Zs)
or
F-16E/F, F-15 EB, AH-1Z/AH-64??

Markings??

Belize would be like a Central American Brunei or Bahrain.  Small country with a small population and staggering natural resources; they'd have to hire a lot of ex-pats to boost their military personnel (pilots, technicians/ground crew, probably sailors and soldiers, too.)
