Chris, I'll jump in on Prototypes if a mod is still needed.

Thank you Jon, much appreciated

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Hehehe, I like that idea.

I'd have the devil of a job finding the one in my collection though, at the last count (some 3-4 yrs ago) I had 62 un-finished projects!  :-\

OK.  The kit for the Captured GB is in my Hobby Link Japan Private Warehouse box.  I hope the postal service is up and running again by the time we start.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Buried deep in the stash is a Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien .  I'd not yet  decided what to do with it.   It should fit nicely here......but who captured it? Suggestions please!!

Finland, but then the REAL problem is writing a plausible backstory.  ;)

An interesting idea.   The backstory is never a problem, I've always enjoyed playing with words.  However, wrangling styrene is not really my strong point.

It was being tested by Germany at Peenemunde, and got lost over the Gulf of Bothnia, requiring a forced landing after running out of fuel .... 😉

Forced landing after running out of fuel over Sweden where it was tested and copied by the hundreds and sold to airforces around the world

Captured by the Soviets during the Second Battle of Khalkhin Gol and then subsequently flown to Finland by a defecting Soviet test pilot.

I can see that this backstory is going to be a quite interesting piece of creative writing.  A German engine Japanese aircraft in Scandinavia in 1945.

Right gentlemen just to let you know.

The 2020 One Week Build will commence on Saturday 13th June and finish on Sunday 21st June, and yes I know that's a tad more than a week. I have my Moderator for this  We'll use the standard One Week GB rules for this one.

The first G.B. of the 2020/2021 Season - Prototypes - will start on the 1st July and run through until the 30th September. Joncarrfarrelly has volunteered to moderate this one. It would be nice to have a second, any volunteers ?

So I will start to get things kicked off in the next few days.

Chris

Prototypes? Yes, I'll stand up to moderate with Jon.

I doubt I'll be able to enter, I don't have any more unbuilt kits with me and all my others are 120 miles away. :(
