IPEC Air Freight used to operate an A.W.Argosy from Adelaide airport back in the early 1980s.  Gosh, it was a noisy plane when it flew overhead in it's bright yellow livery!

For some reason the four Darts on an Argosy always sounded louder than the similar four Darts on a Viscount.

I've noticed that at Heathrow before when BEA Cargo flew Argosies there.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Perhaps they were.  Cargo being less liable to complain about engine noise than passengers.

I looked it up, and the Argosy had 2470 hp Darts, and the Viscount only had 1990 hp, so perhaps they had good reason to be noisier?
