1/24 UH-1B Huey from Revell (Monogram) was finished today.
Model is really old-first Monogram edition was released in 1969.
It's age is perceptible while building. Wrapped parts, weak details, transparent elements needed to be polished.
Building was a little longer than I planned because I've decided to make little corrections. Instrument board is modified, along with seats. Rear troop bench is scratchbuild. Upholstery is made with baking paper. Also cooling vents are new, with wire mesh cover. Instead of sharkmouth decal I used self-made masks. Surfboard is made of thin plank.

Painting is done with Tamiya.Gunze,AK and Vallejo. Chipping is AK Fluid and weathering is AMMO MIG, AK Interactive, Vallejo and Tamiya pigments, washes, fluids...

Hope you like it :)

Wow.

I've built a 1/35 Huey and that's big.  This must be huge!

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

That's some substantial amount of  very cool helicopter you have there

The dogs philosophy on life.
If you cant eat it hump it or fight it,
Pee on it and walk away!!

LOVE the surfboard!

Just for some R&R when you're not machine-gunning the VC of course.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

I meant to say, just looking at it put Ride of the Valkyries in my head.

Great build
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

My brother and I both built that kit when we were kids, bought and built up in Trenton Ontario. I was so dismayed when I broke the rotor shaft off and it didn't seem 'real' to fly any more. Summer ruined lol. Wish I would have known then how easy it would have been to replace with some rod and tube !

As for you build, wow ! Great job on that oldie ! Love the weathering and stains and paint chips. The surf board is too cool, got a Weezer song stuck in my head now !

CANADA KICKS arse !!!!

Long Live the Commonwealth !!!
Vive les Canadiens !
Where's my beer ?

Thanks :) Well...I've got a problem with photos. It's very big, I had to reposition models on shelfto put this beast there :)

Thanks :) I have the same thoughts about snap-fast B2707 which I had being a kid. Can't find that one now.
